Boring??

Just wanted to know, do any of you others bore your friends with talk about your MINI? I know that I do once in while, but I'm just so excited about the new one on it's way.

My wife and daughter think I'm obsessed. I don't talk too much about it with the friends or rest of the family, in fear of them trying to put a straight jacket on me!!

Yeah all of my friends are sick of hearing about the MINI. Over the past few months I have bored them to no end and most of them tell me to shut up right when MINI comes out of my mouth! And thats before I even ordered it! I placed my order friday! So i guess it only gets worse? I know it will be for me waiting for it!!!!!

I know I bore my co-workers. One day a classic Mini was parked near my MINI and I stopped to look at it, and the owner came out and taked to me, he was a guy from REME the MINI club I am in, we talked for 10 or 15 minutes after he came out. Well one of my co-workers was waiting for a ride from me, but he had to listen to us babble about the Mini/MINI. But I dont realy care if they dont want to hear about it they dont have to talk to me.

No, never.

I just don my MINI shirt (custom made!), MINI hat, MINI shoes, MINI watch, etc and drive off in my MINI. You get the picture.

Actions speak louder than words.

Love me, love my MINI!
All my friends/coworkers know my obsession well and typically just stay away from the topic. But... I have all my mods/parts/goodies delivered to work so whenever I have a package everyone always asks what's in it and then they have to listen to me go on about my new part, the latest event, etc.

Last weekend I went out on a "first" date with a guy....I of course talked about my Mini and he said "So, I don't get what's so special about your car". Of course I tried to educate him but his eyes glazed over. Loser...needless to say, I said no to a second date!!!!

My friends asked what that decal on my rear window was (ZIP199). When I said it was my motoring ID & tried to explain it they told me I was goofy

Me, obsessed?

Noooo!
I can't believe how often strangers ask me about my MINI.
Never had that with the Buick Park Ave.

my wife's been very enthusiastic about my hobby...in return, I also
appear enthusiastic about her hobbies too.

my buddies are car guys so we don't bore each other. but, if im
having lunch/dinner with clients that are non-car people, i talk about
different things. i only brush on the topic that im a car guy.

this is why i read cnn often... so i don't bore the regular joe...

I don't think I bore anyone about MINI talk - all my friends and family seem to be just as excited about my car as me!!! But maybe my boss thinks I'm weird, but he's British, so maybe he's just not as impressed with the MINI anymore, having been around them his whole life.

Well, I keep a 1:18 MINI on my bookcase at work and the background on the work 'puter is a bunch of MINIs from the 4th of July parade last year. Every person who picks up the model and asks, "you got one of these?" gets the whole enchlada. Close co-workers know not to ask . . .
