Lame MINI items on ebay

Okay, we have all seen those "mods" for MINIs on ebay, so let's share some here. If there is already a thread for this, my apologies.
Here's one to start. Not really a mod, but still a little lame. Read the description and you'll see what I mean. *snark*

okay buy the key, get the attached VIN, locate the original car via carfax and bam new MINI, no disable issues. Could they make it any easier for the thieves.

Well if the owner was smart he can get the keys disabled. They'll unlock the car, but won't start it. I never understood the whole selling/buying of the keys...

Lame? Why do you think its Lame?

Do you have any idea how expensive a new key is? Its like $100. The keys are programmable, they just program the key to the "car" ...

This just might be the STEAL of the century ... I'm serious.

Prgrammable - even if the key is NOT a remote?

As someone just mentioned, is it a real key? Doesnt look like mine ... a valet key?

If your just starting the engine, like a valet key, dont need remote. Does such a thing exist? I do know that MINI keys aint cheap and the are programmed to the car. I know because I got an extra key when I bought the car and they had to find one and the program it.

It is a real key. The early models only came with one key that had the remotes.

I agree that this is something that shouldn't be sold though.

It's mostly so a poser can say "I drive a MINI" and show the key, even though there is only a Civic parked outside.

Why would anyone want to do that? A Ferrari or Lambo key maybe ...

But that is just to over the top. Something like the MINI can pass as a "normal" person's car... Plus, chicks dig MINIs

Why? just add the open shirt, gold chains, and some Singles Bar and a few beers.... Oh, and "chicks" dig Ferraris too

Lol. Never said there was a rational reason for people doing that.

I said it was lame because of the fact that in the description the person says you "Can use it for show and things of that nature". It just struck me as funny and a little lame if you are going to own the key just for show.

I didnt even pay attention to what the guy wrote because usually its just selling hyperbole.

If the key is real and programmable, then it IS a steal
