I'll have to try that.
I have turned of my headlights, while driving, while my fogs were on, and they continued to stay on as long as I had the parking lights on.

Might be an '03 thing, Our '04 R50 and our two '05 R53s are not like that I too have driven with just the fogs. Xenons can be blinding in heavy snow and fog.

Does anyone know why the clock reads 0:00 at midnight rather than 12:00? It apparently does this no matter how it is set up (not just military time).

^ I seem to remember European clocks tend to display midnight as 0:00 -- but it's been a while.

Edit - i guess it depends on whether you prefer to think of midnight as the end of one day or the beginning of the next

My clock says 12:00 at midnight when its on non-military time.

As for 'the Fog Lights will only go on if the E-Brake is on,' i can turn my fog lights on anytime the parking or headlights are on, regardless of the e-brake position.

Zip

My MINI is an 03 so maybe they fixed the clock by 05.

I noticed that my fog lights will work when my parking lights are on and I do not need for the headlights to be on.

But the parking brake? sounds like an electrical problem to me.

Very hard to pick up but the side mirrors are not symmetrical.

the Fog Lights will only go on if the E-Brake is on.

That wouldn't make much sense: you're driving along, encounter fog . . . but you have to stop, engage p. brake, and then turn on fogs?

I was recording a SmartCar last friday. And in doing so, noticed that the rear wiper on the Smart is the identical unit as is on the MINI. Will post pics ina few days, once I find my camera.

IIRC, the MINI wiper assemblies are from Valeo. It is entirely possible that both Smart and MINI are sourcing from the same place for this.

I learned something new just this morning after having my MINI almost a year. I had always thought that the little ratcheting lever on the left side under the driver's seat (04 MC) was a fine adjustment for moving the seat back and forth in very small amounts...but I just figured out it actually tilts the seat forward and backward rather than moving it horizontally!

^ more specifically, moves the seat up and down (though it probably also affects the tilt as you point out).

I didn't want to loose my "spoiler" on the drivers side wiper so I bought a pair of cut to fit refills ,cut one for the drivers and used the other for the rear

why didn't you just buy a blade replacement from any auto parts store. slide the old blade out, slide the new blade in, everything stays as was.
no trimming needed if you buy the 17" and 18" blade refills

I changed all mine the day I bought the car.

the driver side blade has a spoiler so I did not want to change the blade out either,......what brand/style of refill fits the MINI blade? the replacement OEM refill that the dealer has is the type that has 2 flexible metal inserts that fall out from the flexible rubber and was a PAIN to slip into place

wiper blade refills are covered free-of-charge under the maintenance program for those of you whom it still applies.

Not just an '03 thing. It may be the operator . I can do the same. My fog lights will come on in my '03 without headlights being on.

That's actually true with all modern cars. I noticed that on an '89 Nissan I had, and also on the BMW I have right now.

I have a right hand drive mini and the mirror on the left side is angled back more by a few degrees, so the whole mirror and mirror cover is different. I noticed it when I was putting checkered decals on my mirrors. Reversing the graphic didnt work and the angles were off, so hence not symmetrical.

I read in here that if you hold down AUTO on the HVAC unit, it toggles the screen between C and F. It turns out this also toggles the screen on the OBC for outside temp
