I came out last night to find a minivan parked IN CONTACT with the left rear wheel arch of my baby boy (touching just before the right rear wheelof his van). The guy pulled in too tight and didn't see me(?!). FORTUNATELY (Almost had a heart attack, and I'm only 27), there was no evidence of this incident more tyhan the salt fround into the plastic a little more at point of contact. I couldn't even feel any burs with my fingers. I shudder to think what would have happened with a steel or even a painted wheel arch. I'll park farther ayaw from the door next time.

So far I havent had any problems on getting hit by anything, but I'm guessing it might happen soon with all of the morons in the world. I'm happy for you that your baby wasnt hurt, becuase if it was me and there was evidence I would have waited and kicked the guys @$$.

Luckily, I haven't been hit (yet)... though I did spin out and hit a curb, smashing my front spoiler, lol. Very easy (and cheap $32!) to replace - only takes 1 minutes.

I just wish the whole interior was plastic like that. A plastic headliner would be great and so easy to keep clean with a St. Bernard in the back!

I park as far away from other cars as possible.... But even doing that, someone always seems to pull up right next to MINI even if there are closer spaces... sometimes you just can't win... lol...

ahhhh.... why do people do this?!?!?!?!? it bothers me, I park out in the middle of nowhere for an obvious reason... so what does some schmuck do? parks right next to me despite the 10000000000 other spots. It almost always happens. There is no reason for it except that I'm convinced that most american's just can't drive.

I usually do this with my truck because the spaces seem to get smaller and smaller and my truck barely fits in the lines (occasionally it doesn't) and since people don't seem to care if they are in the line or not it makes it rather difficult to park when someone is 1/2 in your spot.

I haven't been doing it as much with the MINI just because there is a lot more room but I am selective about my spots (I won't park next to a car that is falling apart, etc...) I have also found that around here at least, people think that a little snow on the ground means they can park however they want, nevermind the fact that there are lines painted on the ground and if you paid attention you can correcly pull into the spot and stay in YOUR parking space.....

Sorry for the rant... driving is a privilege not a right!
