Motoring ID... do you have yours yet?
Just got an email from MINI-USA. You can now create a motoring ID number in the owner's network site, affix it to your MINI, and others who see your MINI on the road can contact you by email using your ID.
Kinda neat
I chose: Twist-129

I think it would be pretty neat if people actually used this ID system. I'll give it a try. . . .
Guess I need to go buy some vinyl letters. . . .
My Actual Size sticker is in the official location, so you'll all have to look elsewhere on my rear window to find TWIST129

Wow, a "motoring ID number" that actually makes some SENSE since it's both
1) Official
2) Registered on a real site (not just a long forum topic)
3) Allows for easy contact with someone you spot out there Motoring
Hmm... I wonder if this will replace the MMC?
I'm still trying to figure out which one I want... I hoped for "EDGE703" or something but of course it's not one of the options. Hmmm...

LOL, don't start... you're number "TWIST129".
And I decided what I wanted... CARVE129 it is. Knew I wanted CARVE... couldn't think of a number, saw Yucca's post and SMACK! I got the wake-up call. OF COURSE - 129!

I'm WHOA-717.
It would be cool if MINI USA would actually send us the stickers.

That's annoying.
You can't type your own letters. I've been Agro since I was 14, and online since I first started in 1991. I have friends in Aus who I've known for 20 years who don't know my real name. Why would I put a different name on my car?

Per the suggestion on the website, you can order the letters from Office Depot, item # 458641.
Unfortunately it seems like a "delivery only" option, so we can't walk right into an Office Depot store and pick one up, although I'm sure they could place an order on your behalf... either way you won't get instant gratification via Office Depot!

I may just go down to a local sign shop and have them cut one for me. . . .
