Hi all,

I just learned that "paddle shifts" located just behind the steering wheel will be available for late 2003 models of the MINI Cooper CVT. The paddle shifts allow the driver to up and downshift using paddles located behind the steering wheel. Cool option! Just want to share my excitement!!!

Oh also, the wood trim dash (not on the doors though) will also become optionally available. I can't wait!

hmm. lauren (LMini) should be excited about this. i'm sure you can retrofit the paddles to the '02 models. i smell a PROJECT!

 

The padel shifts sound cool. Will they be available for manual trans too? I wonder if Mini will come out with those cool shifters like the rally cars have!

Hi all,

The paddle shifts will only be available for the CVT MINI's, not the manual transmission cars.

Also, I also remember reading that the MINI Cooper S will also be available with a chrome package (chrome grille, mirrors, and tailgate trim).
