Black with Black bonnet stripes

Hey, can anyone hook me up with a picture/link to a picture of a Black MINI with Black Bonnet Stripes? The ones that have the white pinstripes on the sides of them, to give that phantom-stripe look?

I wanna show them to a fellow MINIac.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

How more black can it get? The answer is "none". None more black.

Now that is about the dumbest thing I've ever heard! Just drop the Mini off at my house.... I'll put the stripes on and they'll be so black that you won't even see them! My rates are very reasonable

Not so dumb... Heres a pic of my 996. A black car with black Carrera lettering. Ghost stripes. I like the effect.

I'm officially jealous.

As for the topic at hand, sorry no pics but maybe a little photosop work won't hurt. I'll make an attempt with it.

As much as I appreciate the Spinal Tap references, I know I saw a pic of one here on NAM. Searching came up empty, and that's why I asked.

I happen to think it looks neat - sorta like a pair of ghost stripes, but with more definition.

No need to poke fun, now.

You could save a lot of money and have a really neat look if you just got some pinstriping tape and just did the pinstripes. . .

I think it is a good look!

I think flat or matte black stripes with no white edging would give an awesome "phantom stripe " look on a black car.

I would love to see photos of that!

I see what u guys mean... however, look at the 3rd pic. Astro Black has a bluish tinge (seen it in person... it definitely has blue in it) and the black stripes don't match. It would look alot better if the black paint and black stripes were the same shade.

man, nothin like a jerk

anyways, back on topic,

IDK if hes registered here or not, but theres a guy in northern ohio that has a Black MCS with black stripes on it. its nothing like just adding pinstripes. there is a definite difference in the color, it looks pretty cool.

i thought he was the only one to do it, i hadnt ever seen a car like that before

go for it, it looks great!

Oh, it's not for me; it's a fellow MINI driver at the hotel I used to work at. I forwarded her one of the pics.
