Ideas, please, on a car cover...

Hola, new '06 DS MCS owner named "Cubby"

I am looking for a car cover that only covers the windows and roof, not the body of the car. Just trying to keep snow and frost off teh car when I have to park outside. I thought I saw one somewhere, but can;t remember where.

Thanx...Bear

Something like this?

Lists for $149.99 here - http://64.225.94.154/ShopSite/page54.html

I'm not sure I'd trust the straps not to scratch the doors if the wind comes up, though.

I found this by Googling "mini cooper half cover" by the way. . .

Cab cover

I got one of these. A cab cover from Moss Mini. Works great. And the price is reduced $10 from when I bought mine.

I don't post near enough, but let me jump in on this one.

I got the Moss cab cover a couple of months ago. It's perfect! I'm in Michigan and it's just the thing for keeping ice and snow off the windows. Not to bad to put on and way less trouble than scraping.

Ice and snow just shake off and then toss it in the boot.

Oh yea, cheap too!!!

Hey TheOldMan where are you in Royal Oak? I'm near downtown. What a small MINI world!

I'm thinking of one of those half covers as well. Good idea.

Music to my ears

I just placed an order for it. I was really looking for one like this since I have the cabrio and don't want to have to brush the snow off the ragtop All of the other cab covers I've seen were made for the hardtop only and they offer one for the cabrio. What a find!!! Thanks!!!

Just north of town, near Frentz hardware. Say hi if you spot me!

Sounds good - if you wave back you'll be the first one since I bought the car a few weeks back! BRG S - white roof/stripes...

OK, maybe a little less than perfect.

Yesterday we got a far amount of snow here in Michigan. So I put the Moss cover on the MINI when I got home from work. At that time it was wet, snowing and about 32 degrees. The MINI and the cover were both wet.

Get up this morning, it's 27 degrees and that cover is frozen solid too the roof. I mean SOLID. I thought I was going to tear the checkers right off.

Seems the material is a little porous and soaks up water real good. Had to pour a bucket of warm water on it for removal. No damage to car or cover.

I still think it's OK if it's below freezing when you put it on. But not the perfect solution.

I love my half cover. I didn't tan my tush after a day at the beach. My Mini was cool inside and out! Impressed the boyfriend too, who thinks I spend way too much on stuff for my mini. The best purchase thus far. Not sure if I'll use for snow and ice, and am afraid that someone will swipe it in my hood.
