It's just talking about the register site and how you can put photos on there and what not.

To the moderators...

I think for the sake of the site, unless there is a moderator that is fluent in whatever language that is posted, it should be either removed or locked.

Perhaps in the site guidelines, a list of currently accepted languages or
to create a separate section for foreign language discussion with no
liability for the site on content...

MiniClo- it's time, and the right thing to do.

ps: Can you also include in the guideline, "NO naked or semi-naked
pictures!" since a lot of us are enjoying NAM at work. links to those
pictures are ok.

Please discuss in your next Board of Directors of NAM meeting.

i find it hard to believe that there are no major MINI forums in Japan ... considering the huge MINI owner population there + the great magazines

Right, like the guys there have the lock on all the ubber sports cars there. I’m not buying it and happened to have lived there some 7/8 years so I may have an inside edge on what it’s like there.

I sent a message to NAM admins requesting the creation of an Asian/Far East forum thread since there seems to be a few of us in the region. So far I have not received a response back on this. Mini Mania is catching on in Japan, Korea, Singapore, etc. I would be nice if we had out own forum in NAM to discuss regional happenings and other Mini news.

Try asking in the Site Feedback forum, Mark reads all the posts there.

I think it'll be cool too. but you are missing the point of my suggestion.

A few weeks ago (this was on CNN) there was a girl that commited
suicide reading posts on another site taking encouragements and tips
from other members on how to kill herself. Her parents are sueing
the bulletin and the moderators for keeping such site available to the
general public.

If we have moderators that can understand all languages, that's great..
but if not, how are they going to be able to detect unwanted posts
or posts that are outside the site guidelines? (not just Japanese, it
could be ANY foreign language).

Example..if I started posting a street racing thread in Japanese, is
that going to be taken off as if it was written in English? If you think
about this the other way, how fair would it be to the domestic teens
(teens, relax, Im just saying this as an example. not a generalization)
if I get to post street racing stories while they can't? I smoked a
612 'Spagetti' through the expressway exit ramps! yeaaah!! I rock.
woohoo.

My point was we probably need more site guidelines if we're going
to introduce more languages outside our default language. If you
don't feel that way, that's fine too. it was only my suggestion.

sndwave- Im Japanese you goof. :impatient
