Buyers remorse! HELP

I was wondering if anyone here had changed their mind about what they ordered when the "deal was done"?
My 06 MCS was finished being built last week and is currently awaiting transport.
Here's my dilemma, I ordered a PW/B and now I really wish I'd ordered the Space Blue/Silver with the checkmate package. I hadn't seen the SB when I ordered and the sample and website made it look kind of teal blue so I decided against it. Now that I see pics as they start coming in I can see it is a midnight blue and I think I would really love it .
I have avoided dark colors in the past due to the upkeep. I live in an area where I do drive on dusty gravel roads occassionally. So has anyone here "cancelled" their order and re-ordered after the car was finished being built and on the way?????
Or maybe I should just get the PW and look forward to buying another MCS in a few years?? I'm so confused!!!!
Annette

I tossed the color issue around a few times myself but decided to stick with what I had. It seemed like it would have been a hassle to cancel the order and start over. Once I saw the PS/B, I fell in love with it. Bottom line is that this is your car and you will be driving it everyday. Get what you want!

I'd say talk to your dealer. From the looks of your spec, I doubt they'd have a problem with you cancelling that car and ordering another since they can probably sell it before it even reaches the US port...

BoCron- You and I are going to have twin sister's, mate. I debated back and forth on color schemes before going with a PW/B. I was even in your same shoes with thoughts of cancelling. But, I can tell you that you are going to love the colors. Not to mention there are not that many PW/B out there (at least not in my area). You can always get the checkered stickers added as an option, and they look great on the PW paint.

Stick with it...you'll be happy!

I thought PW/B was very good looking, one of the guys that comes to our local town meet drives one, very sharp, I loved it.

Well, for me there were no need to debate about colors, CR/W is exactly what I thought a Mini should look like

I think no matter what you have, something else might strike your fancy. And that is ok.

My pure silver/black roof order was already on the way when I wondered about getting an all black or the dark silver instead. Plus all of the sudden red looked more exciting.
But now I am glad I stayed with my initial instinct, and I love my pure silver MCS.
Happy motoring.

I originally ordered my Cooper CR/W, but changed my mind and decided that I wanted a black roof instead. When I went to the dealer to change my order, they informed me that my car had already been produced. This was back in 2002, so reordering would have meant a 4 month wait. I was peeved, but there was nothing I could do about it.

Now, I can't imagine what the heck I was thinking wanting CR/B. I think it looks good on the MCS with red grille, but not on the MC. When I ordered my second Cooper, I never considered any color other than CR/W.

I bet once you see your car that will be it, you'll be in love and won't be able to reject it.

PW/B is one of the classiest combinations! I think you done good.

SB/S looks nice, but i think you'd be pleased with your decision once your PW/B comes in.

my dealer had a PW/B on the lot when i ordered so i took it. never would have thought about that combo before. but when he showed it to me it was amazing. and OMG i get compliments. and those two colors together set off the mini better than any other two. the space blue is nice but look at it. you lose ALL THE NICE LINES of the mini in that color. its just a dark little car. dark colors do not suit the car very well.

remember this when you doubt your choice. the guy who designed the new mini for BMW was asked in an interview what would be the perfect mini that he would want, color ect. and he said a pepper white/ black top cooper. his reason was that the terrific lines of the car get lost in any other color combo.

I changed my mind...

After I had placed my first order but before it went into production I decided to add leather seats & cold package. Although it was a month before the '06 production was scheduled to start I was informed that I could not add/change but I could cancel and start over. It put me three weeks behind but it's worth the wait to get what you want. Until you sign the financing papers you haven't committed to anything, and most dealers would rather work with you than lose a sale. A lot of the cars on dealer lots are customer orders that fell through, so unless you have a strange combinations of options that the dealer doesn't want to get stuck trying to sell to someone else, changing shouldn't be a problem. IMHO you can't decide on a color until you've seen it in person.

My dealer told me I could 'renig' on my order, but I wouldn't get my deposit back until the car sold. Check with your dealer. If the deal is the same, and you don't mind putting down another 1k as a deposit...

BoCRon- I too have been having the same doubts. I ordered the PW/B MCS and considered both the RG/S and SB/S, but was not impressed by the photos online.....they just did not do them justice. When I saw some of the owner's pics of these cars, I was pretty bummed out and was wanting to change my order. However, I couldn't even fathom the idea of waiting all that time again. I pick mine up in less than a week!!!

DiD- Thanks for the inpirational pics. Those really stoked my PW/B fire again.

I couldn't agree with you more, made allll the difference to me.

I had CR/B on order, was about to change it to PW/B, then saw the HB/W with lapis interior and it totally changed my POV. I wanted to be sure and even went back to see the color in different lighting and when I did knew I was hooked (plus the interior colors made a diff to me too). To this day I am glad that I changed the order to what I got, so I think that if you go to see SB in person and truly love it it will be worth it to wait to get it. On the other hand if you go see it an just like it then you may want to stick with PW since the darker color will be tougher to maintain on 'dusty gravel roads' for sure.

I love these pictures. Best Ever. So I'm going to reply so I can see them more than once in the thread.

But to stay on topic...

PW/B is my next colour combo. But if you feel that you like the other colour better, than cancel and get it. It will mean a wait, but so what. I hope you're a patient person.

I agree 100%. No pic in the world, no matter how nice, can truly capture the colors. And if you have to cancel and start over to get what you want, go for it.

SB/S will end up being one of the more common combos for the 2006 models, probably because it looks great, but you should not be displeased at all with PW/B. It is the color combo I would get if I were getting a new MCS.

I say just enjoy your new MINI and once you have it you won't regret it. Besides, you can't really see the paint when you are motoring!

I had a very hard time commiting to PW/B. I very much liked the CR/W and the B/W combo but after seeing PW/B in person I new that it was the choice for me. At a Mini rally with 150 cars mine was one of 4 there and even more so with the panther black leather and tartan red cloth seats. I'll never regret my choice.
