I did a Google search and I couldn't find anyone selling these, but I remember seeng it in a brochure at the dealer...
Anyone have one and care to post how they like it? Or perhaps other suggestions for a boot organizer?
Thanks all!

Depends on what you're trying to organize back there. Once I get my gym bag and work bag into the boot, there is no room left for further organization.

I have the "boot box" available through the dealer and I really like it a lot. It fits in the space available with the seats up, with just enough room on the side if you have the 6-disc CD changer (I don't). It has little flaps that velcro into place that can divide the space into several compartments, or fold flat as needed. I think it does a great job of keeping things from rolling around too much in the back! I doubt that it is absolutely necessary, but I'm happy to have it!

I also have the boot box and think it's great. very useful - keeps everything in order, can fold flat, plus, it has wee handles on the sides so you can just pull the whole thing out at one - very handle if you have lots organized inside. I got it from the dealer. Very useful.

I have it too.

Another plus is you can flip it upside down and have a flat load space all the way back.

Oh, that might satisfy my desire for a flat load floor while allowing me to keep the seat functionality.

How much is the boot box?

The (collapsible) boot box is probably not structurally sound - even though it brings the boot level to approx. the same as the folded seat back level, I wouldn't load anything weighty on it ... making one of your own (that doesn't fold up) would be a nice alternative!

I found a Rubbermaid box that is just the width of the boot with seats upright and about 2/3rds of the length. It also has a lid. It was a whopping $6(?) Add a $74 MINI sticker and you're in business.

The boot box is great but if you get one, beware of one thing: The box may block the rear flow-through air vents that are located at the rear of the boot, just under the lid sill.

After you have the box installed, if you notice there is a new "whistle" that you think may be AC or heater-related, check the boot box. It may be blocking this vent and you'll have to make your own shim or think of something else to keep the vents clear.

I LOVE my boot box. It's very handy and stops things from sliding around in the boot. If I need to cart around large things, I just take down the velcro sides and use it as a big "bin" instead of a sectioned off organizer. If you buy it at the same time as your car, it gets added to the warantee so if anything happens to it, you can have it replaced free!
