Pepper White/Black is a great color combo. I didn't like PW when I first saw it, but it grew on me--such that I would almost consider it as a future color, however the reason that I won't get one is that it stains too easily.

I've got a friend with a 2005 MCS and she had these rust colored stains around the chrome logo. Seems to be a really common problem with PW. Bird poo doesn't just etch the clear coat, it stains it----making removal even more difficult.

Only way to remove the stains was with a coarse pad on a rotary buffer--mild things like quik detailer, clay bar, paint cleaners had no effect.

Buyer beware.

Here's my Boo ! I am very happy with my PW/B- S. It was really hard to make up my mind but I am so glad with my choice. I have somthing that is a bit different and I made it more so with getting panther black leather and tartan red cloth seats as well. I was at a mini rally last week and there were only about 4 or 5 cars close to mine out of 170 cars and all of them were just a bit different. I do seem to like the mini's with the white top but the black top seems to break it up a bit. Here are some pictures of Boo. Hope you enjoy!

I had the rust colored stains from my rear wiper down the hatch around the logo. Took it to the dealer last week, they buffed it out and it didn't totally get rid of it but it's a whole lot better. Something about grease on the fitting for the wiper gets mixed with water or washer fluid and streaks. Here's my pics though

Spots on PW

I have some spotting on the boot because of cosmoline residue. My dealer said I could take it off with paint thinner, but I'm going to let him do that when I go in for service sometime. I also had little dot spots that I think were bug poop. The poop itself came off easily enough, but a golden stain remained. Fortunately, the stains bleach out in the sun, so right now my PW is "spotless."

I don't have any recent pic, this was taken about a year ago when I took delivery of this 05 MCS. I just animated this pic couple weeks ago to see how it looks with aero side skirts and JCW challenge decal. The parts are coming next Wed. so I will be installing them in couple weeks, will take some pics one the work is done.

Here's Casper. He was the first Pepper White S delivered at my dealership early Oct. '04. No issues with staining on the PW for me. I was anxiously awaiting the availability of this color as the classic, Pink Floyd, was a daily driver for me for quite a while.

Although not a good shot of the wheels, Casper has Konig wheels with the spokes in anthracite.

I had an 05 pure silver MCS and had that same staining, I dont think it is strictly PW coopers but any of the lighter colored Mini's.

Here's mine before new springs:

I've got the staining too...All over the boot. Tried claybar, goo gone, everything. Richard, I guess I'll have to come to one of your detail parties.

Pw

Check out my gallery for pics. IMHO I think PW is one of the absolute best colors for the MC/MCS. It stays cool, doesn't show dirt and there are not that many of them out there...surprisingly.
