Thursday nite, I hit a racoon. It dented the lower front plastic moulding, lower aero grill, and there was fluid leaking. Coolant I think. Since I was less than a mile from home that's where I drove it.

The next morning I called Morristown Mini. They said they don't do body work. I asked about the fluid leak and whether Roadside Assistance would cover bringing it in. They said, they were not sure, Roadside Assistance is basically for what would be covered warranty work.

Does that sound right?

So I had it towed to a body shop. I would rather have had Mini do the mechanical repair.

 

Why didn't you call roadside assistance. I think it covers towing for any disablement, but I've never read the policy. I sure wouldn't take an uncertain dealer's word for it.

Too bad about the racoon. Both for you and for the racoon.
