Not true AT ALL! The first edition will be here sometime in November. The hype is very low key at the moment but expect them to come in with a HUGE boom.

I just got this email from the publisher.

"We are readying our basic website this week and intending to go live with our magazine in November- just weeks away. In order to attain all the subscriptions and readers we can we need to get the word out and then drive traffic to our website. Your help would be greatly appreciated.

If your club is ok with, I'll send some PDFs and our website address so you can help us reach our goals before we go live with our subscriptions drive in a few weeks.

We'll have our basic website up next week with some pieces of the magazine for display, plus some feedback e-mails. Sub's price is $24.95 for a mag that's hi-end paper and perfect bound (like National Geographic), so we're not going the inexpensive route of most car magazines.

With Gary's 8-year ownership of British Car magazine, my 29 years of writing for the auto magazine magazines, and the contributors varied global talents we'll bring to your mailbox and local bookstore a magazine that's not like the European lifestyle MINI mags. We're enthusiast and hobby based, with DIY, technical how-to, and racing biased, not forgetting that we're hoping the clubs will tell us about their various events and members so we can fill some pages.

Lots to ready so you enjoy our debut. Many thanks in any help you can pass along to us."

Very cool! I for one will subscribe. Would be great if the subscriptions come in a plastic bag so the covers of the book are not marred by the postal stickers...

All I can say is ....... it about time

I get GOMINI from the UK and while I enjoy it a US perspective would be great.

That is why I don't subscribe to GoMINI. Not from an American point of view. An American magazine would be fantastic!

Put me on the contact list! DrDiff952@msn.com

One advantage of GoMINI is that since they don't have an American perspective, they also cover the Mini One and Mini Cooper and not just the S. I wonder if the new magazine will be balanced too.

Is the publisher Future Publications? They publish goMINI and in the U.S. they publish MacAddict & MaximumPC among others. Great magazines. Quick reading, but with good, usefull info (I've never read MaximumPC, though).

Hey Rick-Anderson, how soon will we be able to subcribe to the magazine? And how? Would like to see a good Mini mag in the USA.

Everyone - I've been in contact with the owner of the magazine and it is indeed a reality with the first issue out in November. The magazine is currently working to get its web site up and operational. When it is ready you'll find both information on the magazine, subscription information, and the ability to set up your subscription. The nice thing is that the magazine will be covering MINI, Mini, and everything in between from a North American perspective. I'll be posting more about this as it nears readiness!

Mark
