Does anybody out there regret the color that they chose for their mini? I've found that the color is the hardest decision I've had to make. I've still got about 8 months until I can order but have already switched the color choice about 10 times. I'm especially interested in those that live in areas with snow and salt.

I live in Phoenix so snow and salt are out of the question. However I saw a slightly dirty Liquid Yellow MC here about a month ago. When slightly dirty the Liquid Yellow really sucks. For you in the snow and salt, keeping it clean will be much harder. Don't get Liquid Yellow unless you keep her clean all the time...

Looked at every color on the lot....when I saw DS-there was no contest! My only concern here in NE is salt/dirt on darker color....but not nearly as bad as w/ Black

Everyone bought Silvers.... Silver coopers bore me now...

At first I thought ICK Indi Blue.... Now I cherish the rareity of IB in SoCal....

But that will not last long, for I have already decided on repainting the Coop to my favorite color!

WOOO WOOO!

I wrestled with choosing everything until I was down to a couple of choices. The last choice, PS/B, has been great with me for two months now and it's all I obsess about, with no reservations. I think this particular color combination is a classic scheme, with the bonnet stripes giving it the rally look.

It's a very difficult decision...you'll get there!!!!! Cheers

I liked BRG from the start, and I couldn't be happier with the color. Plus, BRG on an MCS seems pretty rare in these parts.

The only regret I have is not getting a body colored roof. The black respray they do at the factory is not very good. I've got LOTS of paint problems up there. Grrrr. I think I'm almost to the point of wanting to get it repainted something totally different and funky....like having roof/mirrors done in color shift paint, or going for a silver top on my darksilver MCS, very retro Mini S.

Markcmini,

If you get a chance to see a real, live silk green MINI, do so. Pictures don't do it justice. It's beautiful. Also, light enough in color to keep the salt/snow mess to a bare minimum. I would think that British Green, dark silver, reds, black and blues wouldn't look nice long in winter unless you washed your car often.

I saw a white MINI the other day and I gotta say, it was the most disappointing color I'd seen yet (except perhaps the new gold that is coming out. Ewwww). Just my opinion.

About the boring silver.....
I guess it must be a coastal thing but here in the Mid-Atlantic there are fewer silvers than most other colors. We had 50+ MINIs at a meet we had in VA last Saturday and there were 3 pure silvers. Tied with silk green. Indie blue is one of the most common here. (Indie blue, chili red, dark silver and electric blue prevail in this area....)

i have an indi blue with a black roof and right about now i regret the black roof. i wish i had gotten the white roof so i could get the racing stripes.... but oh well.... i know i could get black racing stripes but i think that would look gross...
the thing is though that there are so many really awesome color combinations that i, if i had the money, would have about 10 different minis, all of which i would love
you just gotta pick something and fly with it....

It's rumored that once upon a time it used to snow here in Denver, but I thinks it's all a fairy tale. I have a Velvet Red MC that I like very much but I have no clue as to how hard it will be to keep clean if it ever happpens to snow here again.

You didn't say if you are looking at an S or a Cooper. I went with the Cooper due to the Pure Silver Red Tartan Cloth interior combination. I love it! I also went with the black roof to match the sunroof. I appreciate the other colors, but love the red and silver combo.

I love dark silver, it goes great with the lapis blue seats. The only bad thing is that everyone else loves dark silver too. It is by far the most popular color for the S. Probably because MINI features DS in most of the ads for the S and, like Electric Blue, DS is only available on the S. I bought mine from dealer stock, but if I would have ordered one I would have gone for BRG with custom black & green or black & tan leather seats.

It must be, here in CT, NY and MA I've seen only one other PS/B Cooper, I see the other color combos all the time.

That interior blue doesn't fit , IMO, it is a bold blue and clashes with the muted Silver. But so long as you love it... who cares what I think!

NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My last name is Bies, pronounced "bees", so I decided on a Liquid Yellow/Black roof. It fits, doesn't it?

My father owned a 1972 BMW 2002, Yellow also!!!!

Interesting - at the Milwaukee Meet this summer I was the only Indie Blue out of 60. The most common color was dark silver and pure silver.

Cosmos Black! Jet black was the only other color I really thought about.

Sure it looks terrible covered in salt and scum, but what doesn't.
I picked the color based on how it looks when the car was clean, not covered in road grime.

No regrets.

I have this combo, too...the black still looks great. With the salt from the roads it leaves something to be desired, but when she's clean, she's beautiful!

Our Pepper White/Black top Cooper CVT is still a very rare color combo around our neck of the woods. It does sure turn heads.

Now, I am looking forward to my '03 MCS Chili Red/White top.

Around here (in mid-Tennessee) the most prevalent colors are silver and dark silver. I wanted silver initially but I kept seeing more and more on the road, that's one of the main reasons I went with indi blue. There is a silver MINI just down the street from me.... had to get something different.
