I've heard some issues regarding black tops without sunroofs. In the hot sun, the metal expands enough to warp the roof. Very disconcerting .

There has to be some color sales statistics somewhere.... what is the most popular color sold? I'd guess Green. white and then blue have been the least popular.

From what I've seen here in South Florida (which if I've heard correctly is one of the biggest markets for MINI's in the US) they seem to rank as follows (from most popular to least):

1) Pure Silver
2) Chili Red
3) Dark Silver
4) Indi Blue
5) Electric Blue
6) Liquid Yellow
7) Solid Black

My best friend bought an Red MCS with White roof.
So as not to be a "buddy-clone" mine is DS with a DS roof.
Have the Aero and will be painting the "arches" soon as
mother nature permits. They don't even look like they
came from the same mother, lol.
It's ALL good when you're swinging it around the turns

After changing my mind several times, I
chose Pepper White with Pepper White roof,
chrome accents and driving lamps. The color
seems to change from white to deep cream
depending on the light. Looks a little retro
and maybe a little more "serious." I love it
and know that I made the right choice for myself.

But I also LOVE when I see the other colors on the road!
Saw an all Liquid Yellow this morning! Puuuuurrrrty car!!!!

I chose British Racing Green with a White top and Cordoba beige interior. No regrets at all.

I got my MINI in jet black, white top, white wheels, and the tartan red interior. I've had no regrets, and I absolutely love my car. Everytime I look at her a smile cracks my face. So far I've only seen one other black MINI on the road, but then again I hardly see any MINIs. The MINIs I've seen so far have been a yellow, dark silver, indi blue, chili red, and my co-worker just bought herself a silk green one, all quite beautiful. I say go with what makes you feel good, it you catch yourself staring a little too long at one in particular then it just may be the color for you.

The right color was a huge decision once I decided to buy a Mini. Being fairly conservative, I knew that I would grow tired of many of the bolder colors after 4-6 months. Because I tend to bond with my cars and keep them for many years, I chose Pure silver. Dark silver was my favorite, but it was only available on the S.
I have no regrets on the color; am just waiting for the name to emerge.

Mine is all PW with the premium package, chrome inserts, 15in 8 spoke, and driving lights-- classic look. I have had many compliments. I like the color more as I have driven it-- so far about 11 K, with snow and salt (a little pepper, and the dressing on the side-sorry, haven't had dinner yet). I have gone several times to order an S, and probably will, but I haven't found a color that comes close.
I think you should choose the colors that most fit you.
my 2cents.

Now that I have the Chili Red/White combo, I definitely regret having ever considered changing my order to Chili Red/Black.

Every 8 year old knows their favorite color. Think like that and go with it. Relax, have fun.

We've pondered the color question as well. When we first saw the Mini we laughed. That drove us to choose a fun color. Chili Red/White with Lapis Blue Leather interior. "Can't be ordered that way", says Build Your Own on MiniUSA and the dealer...but we did it anyway. If it turns out looking a little funny...hey even better.

Anyone else out there with color combinations that are...dare I say...not allowed?

Like Florida, these are the least ordered colors in sunny Hawaii.
Thought I'd never own a dark color car, I guess never say never, so we ordered all Velvet Red. Color changes at different angles and light which makes MINIhune that much more unique. Ordered the MC because VR was only available on that model :???:

>>i have an indi blue with a black roof and right about now i regret the black roof. i wish i had gotten the white roof so i could get the racing stripes.... but oh well.... i know i could get black racing stripes but i think that would look gross...
>>the thing is though that there are so many really awesome color combinations that i, if i had the money, would have about 10 different minis, all of which i would love

I read a piece that DuPont most popular color is silver. I see many here in Chicago and still love Chili Red. I may in the future have the roof painted to match. I am a printer and trying out differnt formats to place removable media to place on the roof. I will keep you all posted.

My only regret is that I did not get the bigger rims.

Size matters....color doesn't.
I'd take one of each!!!

Silver is one of my favorite vehicle colors, Looks GREAT on European Cars(Hey! Maybe even on an AZTEK!).
but, IMHO, the MINI has curves that need color to flow over them.... They get lost in the silvers.

I was about to get the silver with a black top.... but something inside said NO NO NO! And that was because I don't think I could strip the paint off it to apply a new color....
So I took the Indi Blue.... With a preconcieved notion that this was temporary....
well it's nearly a year later and still blue!

My plans to repaint the BikiniCooper are still hovering....

I was really torn between Chili Red and Indi Blue. I went with the Chili Red and there hasn't been one day of regret. In fact, I've found that I buy more things in red to match. My cell phone, wallet, luggage, shoes....all red!

>>Does anybody out there regret the color that they chose for their mini? I've found that the color is the hardest decision I've had to make. I've still got about 8 months until I can order but have already switched the color choice about 10 times. I'm especially interested in those that live in areas with snow and salt.

Does any one has British Racing Green/ White Roof here? I have it in Moscow, Russia (you could not imaging more salty and snowy then here :smile it still looks pretty good!

No regrets. The Silk Green is such a beautiful color. After people ask me what kind of car it is, the next question is, "what color is it?" I always giggle, then tell them Silk Green. I never know what they mean by that question. I guess because the color changes in different lighting.

I wanted green. After seeing a very dirty BRG at the dealership, I went with the SG, even though I couldn't see one in person. I get so many compliments on the color. Even with salt and snow, the SG still looks great. It shows off the chrome bits better than the other colors, IMO.
