Hi,

I purchased a silk green mini with a white roof and have yet to ever see one, or even see a picture of one. I wanted something different/unique and boy, have I found it. Apparently, it's so infrequently ordered that silk green is being eliminated as an option in March! I've waded through several hours worth of galleries and still, nada.

Can anyone direct me to an online photo of a silk green mini with a white top? I'd love to have it as my wallpaper on my desktop while I'm waiting (3 months now) for my February delivery of my bouncing baby girl mini, 143 inches long, 67 inches wide and weighing 2524 pounds.

Thanks!

This isn't the best of what you're looking for but it does show another in the NW - this was taken at last weekend's Chuckanut Drive

I just saw one in the gallery. Under "member minis" about page 21 or 22. Click around that area. I haven't bought one (yet) but I'd pick silk green!

According to my dealer they'll be rotating colors out every so often. He claims that the next color to be released is a gold-ish. As my strappingly handsome first car was (is--I still have her  ) a gold Dodge Omni, I'm particularly fond of this unnaturally metallic venture into car color-dom!

Hi Needler -- There is a FANTASTIC photo of a silk green Cooper on MINI2.com under the Galleries Tab, click on Cooper and check out the far left column, 5th one from the bottom. I, too, searched everywhere for a photo and finally found this one by MiniUK. You can tell from my signature info. I believe this to be one classy color and one that I will treasure as I add sparkle everywhere appropriate including white rear lights. GREAT SELECTION!!

Thanks for the photo tip. I now have a great desktop background and I can drool every time I see it. I swear, looking at MINIs is as nice as centerfolds. I wonder if someone could publish MINIBOY. Hmmmm....

Hi Needler:

I'm also awaiting a silk green Mini with white top. I've seen one for real and it is simply beautiful! I can also tell you that I haven't seen a picture that does it justice. I'm not sure why; the color just doesn't seem to translate well to film or digital image. You made the right choice though!

Watch out, Needler, that Barkersan almost used up all of the precious Silk Green paint!!! Let us know if you found that special MINIUK photo I mentioned earlier. STUNNING COLOR, no matter what.

I just posted to pics to the member gallery page 139. This is my brother's 2002 MC. The Silk Green is better looking in-person. I wish they offered it in the MCS. I would of liked an all green MCS. I ended up with Pure Silver MCS.

Yes, I found your stunner of a picture on the MINI UK site. It's one of my alternating wallpaper backgrounds. Fabulous. Thanks for the tip.

THAT IS STUNNING Looks much like my BVLGARI, except I will add chrome mirror covers. Thanks so much for adding that photo!!! However, on my computer it looks more blue than it really is in person. Just proves that it is and always will be the classiest and indescribeable color. Ciao.

Thanks Sparkles, It won't be too much longer, til you get your BVLGARI! I like the name of your SG/W! I really love the SG, and it does come out blueish in pictures. Especially digital. I have thought about the crhome mirror covers! I think they would look awesome on the SG! I hope you post some pictures when you get it!!

mwbmini - WOW, very nice-looking car! I think the chrome mirror caps would be a great addition. I can't wait until all the salt and crap is off the roads up here and it's warm enough to wax my car again.

I have also thought that the chrome side markers would look great too! Isnt it funny the difference between those 2 pics? they were both taken at the same time, it was around sunset, the 1st pic was taken toward the setting sun, the 2nd one with the sun behind my back. Its all a matter of proper lighting I guess! I should add all my photos to the gallery sometime!

I have Silk Green/Black. It is a great color. It's strange how the color changes in different lighting. It looks anywhere in the spectrum from blue to silver. I haven't put one of my pics up yet because I can't keep mine clean with all of the snow we have gotten this winter!! I love how great the chrome accents look with SG. The chrome mirror covers and side markers would look great!! I thought about the side markers for myself.

Oh I just had to jump in on this topic!
I have the Silk Green black top too. Nothing else like it or compares to it IMHO. I absolutely love this car and color combo! And yes through out the day she changes her appearance. Now as soon as the rain lets up I'll get her washed and photographed. Had her real clean on the 19th but was running late for the Portland Oregon rally so i din't photograph her then... of course after the run, well, she got kinda muddy driving around the lake.

I was going to post a link to my Silk Green/White in the gallery, but the pics you've been provided are much better quality than mine. But I had to report that I just now saw my first other SG/W on my way home! I was driving along not paying much attention to anything when suddenly a car facing me in the turn lane started flashing its lights. Lo and behold, I was looking at my own car! Pretty neat. I know there is one other SG/W in Atlanta, but with bonnet stripes.
