comments from a Mini Cooper forum

don't be hatin on this thread..it's just a joke to laugh at ourselves:smile:

How many forum members does it take to discuss a Mini topic

1 to open a thread about Mini's and and to post that his/her Mini is awesome!!!

14 to share similar experiences of their Mini''s and how their
Mini is different

7 to caution about the dangers of Mini's

27 to point out spelling/grammar errors in posts about Mini's

53 to flame the spell checkers

41 to correct spelling/grammar flames

6 to argue over whether it's "Cooooooop" or "Da Coop" ...

another 6 to condemn those 6 as ****-retentive

2 industry professionals to inform the group that the proper term is
"Mini Cooper"

15 know-it-alls who claim *they* were in the industry, and that "Cooper" is perfectly correct

156 to email the participant's ISPs complaining that they are in
violation of their "acceptable use policy"

109 to post that this forum is not about "Mini Cooper exteriors" and to please take this discussion to a "exteriors" forum

203 to demand that cross posting to general interest forum, and the Mini Talk forum, be stopped

111 to defend the posting to this forum saying that we all drive Mini Coopers and therefore the posts *are* relevant to this forum

306 to debate whether Cooper or Cooper S is superior, where
to get MSRP, and which brand of tires works best for Coopers and what brands are inferior

27 to post URL's where one can see examples of Mini Cooper aerokits

14 to post that the URL's were posted incorrectly and then post the
corrected URL's

3 to post about links they found from the URL's that are relevant to
this group

33 to link all posts to date, quote them in their entirety including
all headers and signatures, and add "Me too"

12 to post to the group that they will no longer post because they
cannot handle the "bonnet stripe" controversy

19 to quote the "Me too's" to say "Me three"

4 to suggest that posters request the Mini Cooper FAQ

44 to ask what is a "FAQ"

4 to say "didn't we go through this already a short time ago?"

143 to say "do a Google search on bonnet stripes before posting questions
about hood ornaments"

1 forum lurker to respond to the original post 6 months from now and
start it all over again.

1 to state that they love Mini Coopers so that's why they are here..

How could you possibly leave out "use the search function" and "read your owner's manual"?

C'mon, it's MINI, not Mini. Unless, infact you are talking about Mini. Then this belongs in the Classic Mini section.

Just playing.

Well, they got a Yellow Pages, therefore they must exist.

(actually i just wanted to be the first one to say "let your fingers do the walking in Bumpass, VA")

.

Don't worry I will abandon this idea immediately,
Tatt

We all must remember the lessons learned from The Bonnet Stripe Controversy. Nearly tore this community in two.

Bumpass, Cuckoo, and Lahore! Either that's a law firm that (understandably) went bust, or a huge missed opportunity by MINI Marketing, who brought fame (and motorers), to other towns with interesting names, like Embarrass, MN.
