How long do the heated seats take to warm up?

Does it work with leatherette and cloth as well as leather?

It's normally not very cold in North Carolina, but lately it's been a bit chilly, and since it's not an expensive option, I am considering the seats.

Thanks,
JS

Not long at all, the Cold Weather package was the best value/$ option in my opinion.

it takes about 30 seconds to about one minute before I start feeling heat. Well worth the money for the cold package.

Depends on what I am wearing. A large coat will take longer for me to feel the heat as opposed to just a heavy sweater. Usually only a minute to feel heat.

Cheers

I have to add, I ended up with the cold weather pkg. (bought Coop off of the lot) and love it. I skoffed at the idea of heated seats and it's ended up being a favorite option! Couldn't be more than about 30 seconds to heat, and what's more, you can open the sunroof/windows on those iffy days when you otherwise wouldn't.

Wow, that's a quick warm-up time. I'll definitely have to add it to my order.

Thanks for the replies.

See ya,
JS

I switched my MCS order, dropped DSC option and added the goodies in the Cold Weather Package, and in the process saved $200....not bad.

I got it, and I am so happy I did! Last week here (upstate NY) it was -25 one night...and that does not even include the windchill. BRR!!! :cry But, the heated seats definitely make it a bit more bearable!

I love the heated seats! Letherette takes about 30 seconds on high! Here in Dallas everything below 40 deg. is Freezing! And was a great package to order..

I have the Lapis Blue Leather. 30 seconds in 40 degree temps, about a minute in the 20-30 degree range and probably 2 minutes in the teens or single digits (5 degrees is the lowest I've seen at 5:30am in NJ so far). In other words, A LOT FASTER than the heater works!!!!!!

I was on the fence about the cold weather package b/c I'm usually not cold. But I decided to get it for the wife who usually is. This was I could keep the car cooler and she could have her seat on which will keep her warm. Sort of like 2-zone heat. But with the winter we've been having, I'd have to say the heated seats are THE best option on the car (and I've got them all minus NAV). The heated mirrors and washer jets are great too b/c no need to scrape ice off of the mirrors (I broke a mirror years ago doing that) and you can use your washer and wipers to help get the ice and snow off.

Cold weather package worth 3 times what it costs (oops! I hope MINIUSA isn't reading this!)

What is it about Dallas that makes the laws of science inapplicable?

Another vote for the bum warmers. Haven't taken delivery yet, but previous experince dictates the necessity of this option!

With the leatherette, I have noticed very similar variations in warming time depending on the severity of the temperatures.
