Forbes: Mini in the top 10 best cars for singles

From Forbes:
"The Mini Cooper is a great bet for those first years out of school, when you're in debt and establishing a credit history: It is affordable, but also a solid investment. Just as you hope your graduate degree will give you a leg up on the competition, buying a Mini will give you a leg up when it comes time to trade it in; according to Kelley Blue Book, the Cooper is among the ten vehicles that best retain their value."

Such an acedemic and dry analysis......affordable, solid investment my eye. That is NOT why people buy MINIs....ick! MINI motoring is a revelation!!!! It's about love...not calculations!!!

Don't mean to sound unappreciative, dufrinr, thanks for the read. Always nice to see good press on MINIs even if it is dry as toast. Somehow I was thinking MINIs were best for singles because w/o passengers they're even more fun to drive.

btw, you may have guessed...I am NOT an accountant.

Well.....any articles on the Mini are worth posting. And I agree with your view. The Mini is about the love of the Mini and the Mini culture. Good press is better than no press at all.

Forget the resale - obviously they're best for singles because chicks dig 'em! (and guys too.)

I had a date on Sunday night, and her eyes definitely lit up when she saw my shiny new MINI!

There you go my friend, be careful, I ended up getting married

It is such a powerful tool, a chic magnet (now see how many lady mini owners are going to attack me)

Or perhaps we're looking at it the wrong way here - perhaps Mini owners tend to end up single because they tend to spend too much time on their cars.

I know my girlfriend can become irritated when I spend a whole afternoon with my MCSc, leading to some potential to end up being a single Mini owner. Of course, she became much more understanding when I taught her to drive a manual transmission and she took a spin behind the wheels of the MCSc.
