Hey All,
As a school teacher, I don't get much of a chance to drive in the white stuff-NOT UNTIL YESTERDAY!!!! As usual, our school system let out way too late, and the rural roads that I had to navigate were TERRIBLE! 18 Miles of packed ice, one lane, and BIG HILLS! Throw in several yellow busses making stops, and you probably understand what I am describing. I know some of you northern members are probably chuckling here, but try to hang in there.

I've been to several regions of the north, with mostly flat terrain. This was really bad. Everyone creeping at around 2-5 MPH, except the 16 yr. old behind me, driving like their car was a radio flyer. Anyway, this was the first time that I have seen the DSC engage. There was a great deal of slipping, especially when I had to start from a dead stop, in the middle of the hills. I really could not feel the difference, but the dash light was blinking like a warning light traffic signal.

The MINI really performed well throughout the trip home. If some of you wonder what a 6"-8" snow does to the south, try to grab a glimpse of the National News.

Happy Trails Ya'll and Go TITANS!!!!!!!

The DSC is fantastic. Having not ever driven a car with anything like that before driving my Mini, I really can appreciate how good these gadgets are. The weather at the moment is awful, who knows how many Minis these things have saved? Just think of the kids who would miss out on their education if teachers can't get to work!!! What do you teach any way? If it involves Shakespear then do all the kids a favour and take a day off and have fun in the snow

Well, I don't teach Shakespeare, but I like some of the work. I teach Theater & Psychology. Teachers like days off..

So, is this the Tennessee crew? Glad I don't have my MINI yet or I would be worried about the way other drivers deal with the ice. Nashville drivers can't drive anyway but throw snow/ice into the mix and it's a bad deal. I have a friend who has a 2002 WRX that got smashed yesterday due to someone driving too fast and being dumb. I know he wasn't a happy camper.

Everyone STAY WARM and happy motoring!!!

Gee Cooperman, wish you could send a little of that snow this way. Usually we have plenty of snow on the ground here in northern Wisconsin, lately it's just been extremely cold. Glad to here the investment in the DSC paid off,... we have it ordered on ours.
