R50/53 Mini as Windsurf-mobile
Mini as Windsurf-mobile
I can't believe it - it all fits!
I put my board on top using a Yakima rack with board pads and straps, and am able to fit the entire rig inside by folding down the drivers side rear seat and reclining the front passenger seat all the way back. 430cm mast, quiver bag with two sails, and boom all slide in diagonally with the front ends tucked into the passenger side foot well. Very stable, and plenty of elbow and shifting room. Wetsuits, towels, harness, etc. go in the boot.
Unfreakingbelievable!!
I thought my old FJ-55 Landcruiser was a pretty cool windsurfing ride, but I think the Mini may take the prize!

Yeah but what about if a hot bikini clad babe wants to go windsurfing with you, then where do you put her??
Just kidding. The MINI's are unbelievably capable! I've put a 6' ladder, a toilet, and 27" in TV--not all at once, and you can almost always find a way to make it work.

Hahahaa, I hope that was the old toilet!
We liked the toilet so much, we bought 2 more---total of 3 trips to Home Depot to buy a toilet--fortunately, HD is just a few miles away.
