How do you open and close windows with remote control? New Pictures today of delivery

I know I was shown how to close all the windows with the key in the drivers door. I know I was shown how to open the windows and unlock with the remote. Can the windows be closed with the remote?

Pictures of delivery today at Crown in Richmond.

25 miles and two hours of ownership and a rail storm ruined the clean car. 30min quick wash and dry and into the garage.

I am very happy with the color combinations. Its too bad the interior really is hard to photograph and see the chrono and chrome kit.

Only opening is available with remote, for safety reasons, closing is done with the key in the handle

Congrats!

You have to have the capacity to open the windows & sunroof with the remote programmed by the dealer. If that option has been programmed, you simply hold down the "unlock" button for an extended period. There is not a way to reverse the process with the remote, but you can use your key in the door to pull off that particular trick.

Have fun!

Hey, I've been down that same 'walk of fame'! (see my gallery)

As said by Jimbo, no closing with remote (stock) but the following link will get you to a place that can make it happen...

Congrats on the new MINI!

Be careful. I had the remote control windows/sunroof function enabled until one morning I discovered both windows and the sunroof were wide open. Luckily the Mini was parked safely in my garage. But it could just as easily have been sitting in a pouring rainstorm or parked at the mall.

I promptly had that remote "feature" disabled. It's iffy relying on software controlled gadgets, especially those designed by BMW.

btw, I tried to have the remote unlocking "feature" disabled too but they couldn't do it. Not to say that it can't be done but this dealer didn't know how.

I've accidentally pushed the button unknowingly and had the windows down a couple inches when I came out in the morning. That was actually how I discovered the feature.

I love that option! With the hot summer now in full force, I always roll the windows down as I'm walking up to the car. It helps the initial heatwave escape before I climb in and get the A/C running.

I was wiring in a radar dectector to our Beetle, and I was squatting down by the fuse panel...when I heard the Mini lowering the windows - lol

It's a fun feature to show off to friends but...well...useless.

Very true...it does get some good reactions.

The only semi/quasi/pseudo-practical use I've gotten out of it is opening the windows to let heat out of the car...but I'd have to be visiting w/ a friend or something before I actually got in the car because otherwise the difference between range of the key and actually arriving at my hot car would not allow for much real cooling effect to take place.

I have rolled down my windows (for similar reasons) from inside a restaurant once...got lots of reactions that time. It was priceless!!!!
