I have downloaded the mini construction movie from a member of the mini2 board and have placed a copy on my personal server space. It is in the asf format and should play in the current ver of windows media player (6). The file size is around 12 meg.

To download it go to :
http://www.acsu.buffalo.edu/~empson/ftp/

right click on the file minimovie.asf
then click on save target as
pick a place where you want it saved
click on save
when it has been saved then go to the place you saved it in and click on the file, mediaplayer should open and it will start playing

Sorry to those that know how to do this I have found that not everyone has down loaded a file from a ftp site. :smile:

Robots are sooo cool. If you ever get the chance visit the BMW facility in Spartunburg SC., Next to the plant tour which is very cool thay have a multimedia room with a 180 degree screen and it takes you through the same type of production of the Z3/4 -it's cool seeing the production from several different angles from start to finish.

Jack, the movie seems to be limited to only 12 minutes of play time....is it intentionally cut or my download file is probably chopped off?

The file size is 11MB...is this correct?

I PM'd you about this, but you seem to be answering these questions in the thread...

I have the 11mb file, but when playing it it simply stops after about 5 minutes (just after the MINI comes out of the undercoat bath). Have you checked to make sure that the file you posted actually plays all the way through? The first 5min works great, but nothing after that.

Help???

 

So, it just stops as the MINI emerges from undercoating? No video of interior assembly, paint, doors, etc.??

If I can see more by streaming it, can I do that?

 

Thanks for the heads up on this one. I had a file quota problem and it would cut the file off when it exceeded the quota size.

The file has beeen reloaded and it has a size of around 27 meg.

Delete the previous copy and redownload it again.

Sorry for the problems.
