all of these WONDERFUL pics make me want to take a few (dozen) road trips!

I finally nudged just over 10,000 miles last week and took the car in for a checkup at the dealership. Got a few things looked at on the car like the enthusiastic windshield-washer jets that would actually spray the windshield of the car *behind* us at the lights. It insisted that it was just trying to be helpful! Boyfriend didn't think to stop them from 'washing' my car so I'm dreading seeing what happened (he took it to work and I haven't seen it yet). He's trying to buy my forgiveness with a glovebox organizer...

My pulley and intake are going in on Saturday at the great Boston pulley party on Cape Cod.

Time to start planning for winter and get a set of winter wheels and tires. We're going for the oooglee steelies (15"!!! haha) since I can't trust the other drivers out there. I had a plow shove a load of ice and salt chunks into the probe's wheels last year and the results weren't pretty (see, most people would be upset about getting plowed into a parking spot while they were still IN the car... ).

I'm seriously thinking of looking into getting a rear-drive car as a track/weekend car. I'd like to learn the different car dynamics and handling since I've got a nice front-wheel and all-wheel drive car to practice on already. I was thinking about an old, eccentric porsche, but I'm not sure I'm ready for *that* level of committment (but, ohhh... a '75 911 with an '87 carrera engine swap....).

Here is a better shot (not so high Chef!) of my 1966 and Fiat 128. The Fiat was a very small car!

whoa, page 5... time for some pics from me since it's been a while

put in my full toggle panel and replaced my hotpocket with the way too expensive shelf ( i dunno why, i got bored):

new silver tiny antenna:

new tail lights: (picture can't capture my clear third brake light, but it's there)

made the wheel arch reflectors/lights disappear:

made amber front markers virtually disappear:

..and i'm speant.. literally.. i'm addicted to modding stuff.. mainly cosmetically, and functionally.. but now i'm looking for slight performance mods.. oh god where does it end?!

- wags

ps ryan, where's the new MINI?

wags - love your new mods, they look excellent. I especially like the new taillights on your Pure Silver. How did you blackout the side reflectors?

I take delivery of MM2 tomorrow at 10am

Thanks for the pics Red. Love the 66.

Great mods Wags. .

Where did you get the toggle pannel, and how much? I am thinking about one, and using the extra toggles for garage door opener, maybe put in an aux jack and a switch for a gps reciever. I don't have dsc so I only use three toggles now.

Ryan, I'm excited for MM2 tomorrow. Do we get a whole new set of weekly, monthly reports etc.? Hope so.

Andy

Love the mods Wags. I considered the double shelf between the uprights, but in the picture on the website made it look too small. Your photo is way better.

Happy with the TVA Hot Pocket though, made a big difference.
Are you still on your original tires?

When I get a chance, I will take a shot of my tint job. Very inexpensive mod, and big visual change. I went 35% to prevent night vision problems and to avoid hassles with the constables.

Red

it's definitely not worth the money, but like i said i was bored.. it does help with the stuff that i put in my hotpocket.. before everything was just on top of everything (newest cd case, cell phone, directions to where i'm motoring to, etc, so it does organize things better for me..

yeah still on the same tires, i NEED to rotate them, i'm at 15k...

please do post pics.. i want to get mine done possibly.. don't remember off hand what VA laws permit, but we're pretty conservative here.. i want to see if anyone has the tint that is the least VA will allow to see if it will look nice.

next i want new wheels!!

Wags, have you decided on which intake you want yet?

I've tried drop-in foam filter, Green twister, and pipercross cone filter. Pipercross is my favorite by a long shot.

Want to buy a green twister cheap?

no i really haven't.. but i got a great deal on the rspeed exhaust by the way.. only 350 with shipping.. they had one on ebay.. and the only reason it was on ebay is because the boxes got damaged en route from germany.. but nothing's messed up or anything... saved 150 bucks! score!

how cheap is cheap?

Great pumpkin Chef!

What's scarier is the way this website responding lately. Has the domain change made some sort of difference? Can't even get on sometimes.

In other news, did Ryan pick up his new MINI yet?

I love the wheels. MM2 is beautiful! Enjoy!

Well I guess you answered my question about how long you were going to leave it stock. I am so happy with mine, I cannot imagine how your mods make it even better. But I am sure they do.

Someday, if you are ever in the Metro NY area, it would be a kick to meet you and MM2 in person.

Best of luck!

Regards,
Red
