Home built MINI

Friend of mine found this site, thought some of my fellow miniacs would dig it quite a bit.

And, I apologize if this has been noted here already, I searched, really, I did!

yeah, I did some looking, car sounds great, video was interesting, didn't do much reading though, gotta work on that attention span.

But, dang, if I had time, stamina, money, and was mechanically inclined, I'd be all over that

This was on the guys website. Pretty funny, its about a kid day dreaming of driving.
(if you notice it has the sounds of "Bullit" in there)

That was really boring. Maybe if he did more than idle it around his block? Did I miss something?

Some day, when all the kids are gone! When I retire (Ha!) When I semi-retire, (if there's any money left) maybe. I have thought about building this type purpose built car for a long time. I dig it alot, way cool.

Amazing. Thanks for passing that link on to us. I can't imagine taking on a huge task like that. Having just gone through the research, purchase and installation required to upgrade my home computer myself, I feel like I have a little tiny bit of insight into how much fun it can be to do something only professionals are supposed to do.

Think of how fun it was to go through miniusa.com a few dozen times figuring out how to make your MINI perfect - then think of how fun it would be if you got to make those decisions for every single part of your car!

Hah... let's see a video of you driving *your* home-build car around the block for the first time... then you can complain...
