I picked out my car.... just have to wait for approvial

I will be getting a Red MINi Cooper S 6 speed
Cloth seats
Hid ( xenons headlights)
LSD
White Roof
with white stripes

The reason i am only getting the options below is to keep the car as light as possible. it is easier to make a car faster by saving weight or taking weight out v.s higher Hp number.....

Smart options- that'll be a quick MINI.

Are you keeping the RX8? If you aren't, why not?

Need to get the muti-function steering wheel to get cruise control. Won't add much weight and at some time you will wish you had it. It's cost prohibitive to add it later. Also helps the resale value of the car.

One exception IMO

I agree with options, except - Factory Stripes, there are soo many more options for much less money. Check in the sponsor section on NAM.

Rain sensing windshield wipers I do enjoy and I think work well compared to other cars where that option is a waste.

Planning on aftermarket wheels I assume?!?

The 05 w/LSD makes me want to buy my car all over again.

As stated by fishey72 aftermarket stripes are cheaper. Get some SSR Comps to lighten the wheels.

if you're that serious about weight i'd skip the xenons as well.

looks good, reminds me of my car.. bone stock!

stripes, there are plenty of cheaper options out of the factory

a couple of things i'd do

lsd-a must if you intend to do some tracking and autocrossing
cloth: great if you can keep em clean, i'd get leatherette everytime for stain resistance
good job on keeping the car light,

How much is the steering wheel with cruise control?

Nice specs!

Here goes mine...

Chili Red/White Roof and Mirrors
Black Leatherette
Anthracite Dash/Trim and Headliner
Cold Weather Package
Convenience Package
Front and Rear Fogs (Wooo! Full Toggle)
DSC
LSD
Chrome Grill and Boot Hatch Handle
16" V-Spokes in White
Xenon's
Driving Lamps
Invisishield
and
Security System (maybe...if they have the part)

I'd second the mention of the leatherette...it really is bullet proof. Plus with cloth you tend to get shocked on those low humidity days...ouch!

Do you have a date when you'll take your's home?
