New Miltek exhaust killed my radio!!!

All of a sudden I find myself driving around with the radio off. I just love listening to that exhaust growl.

Installed mine this morning. Love it.

The install went fairly well, the stock exhaust is a sad sight sitting next to the Milltek. The car is awesome now that the intake, pulley, and exhaust are in.

BTW, I laughed to myself on my way home when I realized I had not turned on my stereo all day.

Me too! With the Alta CAI and the Milltek, my '05 whines, pops and farts with the best of 'em. Glad I didn't spend the bucks for the HK sound system!!

No prob!

I am just thinking along these lines:

Hk = $550
Miltek = $549

Still can't figure out which one was a better buy!

Hell ya I can!

After last weeks install, I couldn't remember if there was a radio installed in the MINI. Was that standard or an option.

In all honesty, my wifes '04 has the HK system and stock exhaust. It's the car we take when recorded music is what we want. But when we crave the natural sound of the car, well, mine with all ths mods and no HK is the one. Guess we have the best of both!!

Ah, lemme guess. You were probably one of the very first to say, "I want my MTV!"

WTG on the Miltek. Question: Does it have the slowing-down pops? I like those! :smile:

No, but I was the first one to switch when M in MTV no longer meant Music.

Sorry, not too many pops. Keep in mind that mine is a regular Cooper. If you want a sample of what it sounds like, check out this thread:

Yep, the radio has essentially been off since the Milltek went in here as well.
