I think God wants me to have a Mini.

I sold my S2000 in less than 24 hours. The Mini is paid for before it arrives, very nice. Now I just have to wait for it to get from the port to the dealership. The wait hasn't been bad, but now that i'm without my S2K it just got harder!

So what did you get MC, MCc, MCS or MCSc? What color? When will it arrive.

I know how you feel. I sold my S2000 before we moved a little over a year ago - with the anticipation of getting the MCSC. My wait was a bit longer than yours though.... the Cabrio was not even being made or shipped at the time....but the wait was worth it.... And at the time - we had an MCS to help pass the time...So what did you end up with? And of course, we'll want to see pixs when you finally get it....

02' CR/W MCS (gone to MINI heaven - burned up)

Thanks everyone. THe specs on my new ride are:

MCS
Dark Silver/Black (no stripes)
All packages except convenience
LSD
Anthracite trim, and black/grey leatherette interior
Harmen Kardon

The car is scheduled to arrive in port today, so I expect it will be at the dealer within a week. It's coming into Georgia so it shouldn't take long to get there. Can't wait.

Congratulations! I'll say you are probably right since you sold your S2K so quick. Where are you located?

Way to go! (And dark silver is the fastest color!)

So the fact I haven't been able to sell my Passat for 3 weeks while my MCSC arrives this week means....?

That's a real shame. Maybe you should cancel your order.

Just out of curiosity, why did you get rid of the S2000? Practicality (the MINI has a back seat), did you have problems with it, didn't like it for whatever reason? Just wondering, as I had always heard such good things about the S2000s

Cool, my Boss lives in LaGrange. I head up that way from time to time. It's a nice little town. Good restaurants and some nice neighborhoods.

I loved the S2000 actually. It was a great car. Made for a good daily driver in my situation and was a blast on the track. However, it was a little loud on the interstate and you couldn't carry very much cargo. The Mini has 4 times the cargo capacity and is much quieter on the inside. I drive a ton of highway miles on the weekends so it just made sense for me to have something that was a bit more suited to it. That said, i'll probably have an S2000 again some day when I can afford to have a weekend/track car in addition to my daily driver. But I have no complaints concerning either fun or reliability.

Thanks for that. I have a S2000 on my wish list and just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something.
