R50/53 Best Dealers for price
Best Dealers for price
I've searched this several different ways but haven't found a thread. I can't believe that I can't for something this basic and essential.
From info I've gleaned from different posts, Classic sells at MSRP, has stock to sell and can get you on a build list quickly. They also throw in free mats, and some other items (and they sell OEM parts and accessories at 20% off).
MINI of Nashville, where I bought mine, sells at MSRP, throws in free mats, has stock and can get you on a build list quickly.
MINI of Salt Lake sold at MSRP and had stock when I checked in December. Couldn't get on a build list as quickly as Nashville. MINI of the Hamptons supposedly sells for MSRP but checking its website it didn't appear that way to me.
Most dealers have a processing fee, Nashville's was $299.50.
John Monk at Nashville was great to deal with and I've heard great things about a woman salesperson at Classic.
From posts on another thread:
OKC (Oklahoma City MINI?)
Motor City MINI, MI
For us West Coasters I'm looking for dealers further West to save on shipping costs.
Any other reasonable to good dealerships that anyone else can recommend?

I haven't finalized my purchase yet, so I don't know if they'll hit me with extra fees later, but MINI of Peabody in Peabody, Massachussetts sells at MSRP, can get you on the build list right away, and they're also the #1 ranked MINI dealer in the country (last I checked).
Mini of Pittsburgh sells at MSRP, free floor mats if you ask. No processing or other hidden costs, and they have a huge amount in stock, 50-60. Plus they can order in about 6 weeks. $500 deposit to order.
I bought mine off the lot.

International Mini of Milwaukee sold me mine for MSRP, thru in floor mats when I asked, discounted the JCW kit by $500.00 (still too much but I like the warranty), ordered right away and then knocked another $300.00 off when I tried to change some specs and couldn't because Dingo was already built and they had neglected to inform me. Other than getting rankled about that it was a very good experience. When I bought in December they only had maybe 4 or 5 instock.
More on Classic MINI, in Ohio
Just another tidbit or two for you. Classic MINI's processing fees are right at $125, vice the $400 your Tennessee dealer quotes.
I'm currently negotiating with Classic to do some swap work and "personalized service" (read=remove Run-Flats, install the tires I ship to you). Swap work would mean getting the black rubber Cooper S mats vice the cloth ones. I wouldn't even object to an up-charge, honestly. Already found a prospective buyer for the R-F's, as well.
Mike Kost at Classic has been great to work with. Of course, I intend to get a JCW kit installed there, so they're willing to humor me on the little stuff!
Cheers,
Matthew

South Bay MINI is at MSRP. 15 minutes from LAX. Great sales people there. I had no problems buying over the phone.

One more thing. Southwest from reno is $39 to $59 dollars. I had a great time driving her home up highway 1 but you will probly take 395. stop a Bodie its a great little town. It knocked off a lot of the break in miles.
On the topic of pricing... anyone here delt with motor city mini, I live in EL, MI and it's closer to me than OH would be... any info would be sweeet, They seem like great people I've been out to drive the mini twice and they are real friendly, just wanna know if they are willing to deal a bit before going in

You're gonna wanta buy @ Classic
LeftyS7,
I called South Bay MINI (310) 939-7300 and yes, they're selling at MSRP...both in stock and orders; but if they don't have just what you want, then it's 4 to 5 months to get a car in. And the MA wasn't very knowledgable. Like East Bay MINI in the Bay Area, they can only sell their future allocation (unlike dealers who charge over MSRP who ar selling their current month production allocation). And like most dealers who order cars that aren't presold, their loaded with all the options & packages, which means a high MSRP.
OR.........
You can join the 4 of us that have cars on order from Julie @ Classic MINI and are coming west in early May on the Concours Truck. If we get 3 more buyers on the truck, the shipping cost is $900 per car in an enclosed transporter. No flatbed carriers or railcars to get your car to you in Reno. This is door to door service.
Call Julie today before she goes home at 3 PM PST or Monday after 9 AM PST 800 388-1098 or 440 266-6700 or email julie@driveclassic.
Just ask Macaid who ordered his CR/W MCS with JCW yesterday, and got a production number the same day.
There are over 100 Classic "Alumni" on NAM on the west coast.

Anyway, I have ordered my MCS through MCM. Did not ask for any discount and am paying MSRP. Floor mats might be cool, who knows. They were/are so far very nice to deal with.

I ordered my MCSA from Dreyer & Reinbold MINI in Indianapolis - they have a pretty big stock and charge MSRP. I got on the order list very quickly, they didn't seem to have a wait. They also seem to be on top of long distance transactions, and will arrange shipping or even pick you up at the airport if you decide to come and drive your MINI home. The documentation fee was somewhere around $125.00. My car will be here in 2 weeks, so I'm not sure of any 'hidden' costs or freebies, but everyone I've spoken with there seems great, so I'm not too worried.

Calling All CA Buyers!!!
I just ordered my MCS CR/W with CR interior yesterday through Classic Mini and received my production number on the same day! Woo Hoo! Can't wait to browse the lounge at miniusa.com!
My buying experience was EXCEPTIONAL! I encourage ALL CA buyers to order through Classic via Julie Saxa (440-266-6700 x2703 & julie@driveclassic.com). This is what I got:
MSRP Only! (no idiotic dealer markup like MINI of Concord's $2699)
April/May delivery (no ridiculous 11 month wait like at East Bay Mini)
20% off of ALL accessories (excluding JCW)
$125.50 fee for title, license, temporary tag and registration (many dealers charge $400+)
Only a $500 deposit required.
Julie's award winning personality!
I have $7000+ in accessories (I stopped counting) so the 20% off is a BIG deal.
I personally spent two days driving to Niello of Sacramento, Mini of Concord, East Bay Mini of Pleasanton, & San Francisco Mini and was appalled at what they had to offer.
I have yet to hear of any better deal in the US. I am not advertising for them nor do I get commissions on sales, this post is born out of pure excitement and the desire for all NAM members to get the best deal so they can afford luxuries like the JCW options!!! I don't understand why anyone wouldn't order from Classic Mini. It's a win win purchase. Plus, the more CA buyers we can get to place an order NOW, the cheaper the shipping will be for all of us. Classic uses only the best companies with covered transports to deliver your Mini to your home town. YES, you don't have to drive to any dealership to pick up your car, they will come to your neck of the woods and deliver!!! You can even pick up your Mini in OH and road trip it back, they will pick you up from the airport personally!
Oh, they will also throw in:
Floormats
Fuel Fill Up
Glove Box Organizer
Mini MINI Model
MINI Keychain

Plus tax, unless you live in Oregon, or some other sales tax free State. Sales tax is collected in your State when you register - none is paid in the State you purchase from. (Which is interesting, now that I think about it.)
