Short Story: I live in PA, but got the car in NY. I forgot to tell them not to drill holes in the front bumper, so I'm going to put up a lovely euro plate to hide the ugly drill holes. So after reading this thread I've narrowed it down to two possibilities; MINI ME (or MINI-ME) or SPOT ON. If I could get some feedback on which people like more I'd really appreciate it .

I like Spot On. I ordered a Euro plate with LMW 28IF. See if anyone recognizes that!

My personal favorite is still the one pictured below...

Although I would have used a number 3 instead of the letter E for a better reverse effect ...
And instead of the exclamation point, a Less than symbol or greater than depending on how you look at it..

But if you have nothing but time on your hands, here is the Grtpl8s website that makes the plates and has 1000's to view and choose form or to get ideas from.

Suggestions for Missouri PW/B MC?

We have a 2004 British Green MC with the last Missouri license plates, which has worked out well. This year Missouri redesigned their plates - super ugly. I already renewed before the change - so I'm good until 2010.

I am currently waiting for my 2008 Pepper White/B MC (with nearly all the bells and whistles - snazzy indeed!). It was born on the first day of Summer, June 21. His name is Whiskey (bought it out of Nashville - but we call him 'Jack' for short).

Any suggestions for a good vanity plate?
I'm a PhD student and pretty conservative. (A two-toned Mini is about as 'out there' as I get!
Here's a photo BELOW of the new plate.

MISSOURI LICENSE REGULATIONS-
License plates may be personalized. Regular personalized license plates with no emblem or wheelchair symbol may have up to six letters including one space, dash, or apostrophe.
Personalized license plates will be changed to the new plate design beginning January 1, 2009.

Thanks ! I look forward to your suggestions!

Mrs. Bean,
Hello! I greatly like your graphics for the 2 Mini's! Our Beatrix '04 is a BRG MCHardtop, and we are waiting for Jack '08 PW/B due to arrive in another week or two.
Would you mind me asking how you configured your two adorable Mini's?
Cynthia

Raised tags! The only way to go, so far. I have seen the flat ones but not here yet, Nevada has them and they look lame! I sure hope they don't do that here.

Interesting how people blur out their "regular" license plates in pictures of their MINIs, but proudly display their vanity ones.

I want MINIMAL but it's already taken, so I may get MINIM4L. I'm a minimal house dj/producer and a minimalist so it suits me well.

I R CUTE

Best I could do. I meant the car was cute - not me! It could have been a mistake...

Guys break their neck to get up beside me and take one look at me (I'm a 60 year old silver-haired granddad) then slam on the brakes...

I never quite understood the purpose of bluring the tag.
After all its not like others can't see your tag in a public parking lot.
There might be a really good reason for bluring your tag but I'm just not aware of a valid reason.

The reason is that the vanity or sequential plate on an identifiable vehicle pictured in a forum, provides information and potential identity of a forum poster. People want to be able to speak freely and sooner or later someone is going to be offended. Now, if they see your same car later, and they go, "Hmmm. That's that same guy in our forums that everyone hates, I am going to teach him/her a lesson..."

That's one theory about tag blurring. There are some crazy stories out there, where discussions get out of hand and incidents happen off the forum.

It's easier just to treat people with respect and dignity and not fear creating a bad reputation.

Oh, and I think some view it as a courtesy to blur the license tags of others, when posting pics of their cars.

I'm not saying whether it's right or necessary, just that I've seen it done.

No one seems to get my current plate, so I have new ones on the way.

I only remember getting one plate here in Cali, but I have heard many stories about cops giving tickets for having only one plate.
Anyone hear anything about this?

No front plate(s) here (on any of my three cars) in California. I put the two plates stacked together on the rear plate mount for the time when I get stopped for no front plate. If I ever get stopped I will dutifully fix it and have my CHP friend write it off as fixed.

I hate the look of front plates and as long as the CHP doesn't seem to mind I will continue to do so.
