Forget the super chip, turbo and special air intakes. I reckon that pure silver is definitely the fastest color. My tests show, that the standard MC in pure silver easily outperforms the MCS in all colours but the dark silver. You can even add some more extra HP by simply adding a black sunroof. Has anybody else noticed this?

PS body and roof is definitely the quickest...the black roof has been rumoured to slow the car by about 4.233 MPH....something to do with heat build-up...and planet alignment...

I concur. It reduces the skin effect during warp transition enabling the surface molecules of the paint to become aligned allowing laminar flow of the surrounding environment. And its looks cool too.

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Let me let you in on a little secret. Actually, the VELVET RED is the fastest Cooper out there. The reason you don't see many of them is, well, they are really, really fast.

CHEERS,

Red... Rally Light.... Really fast.

3 R's. You may be onto something here.

We need 2Mini's advice on this one...

The aerodynamics of the motor home version increases the down force at higher speeds.

while maybe not the fastest color, I do believe that BRG is the GREENEST color, especially on the MCS. but, that's just me

An old trick that I learned during the 70s is to paint the back end flat black. It really goes faster then. This was esp, true with 67 Mustangs.

This has been discussed extensively in another thread, and the conclusions were irrefutable. I'm not going to go into all the available scientific evidence, but it's been proven inconclusively that the Liquid Yellow is the fastest MC or MCS available.

Firstly, it's not a metallic paint, so although your wallet isn't lighter for not having spent the extra $$ on the paint, the paint itself is about 300 pounds lighter. I know that sounds like a lot, but that's the way it is.

Secondly, and this is the most important, unlike the darker colours which absorb light and heat, the Liquid Yellow, and to some extent the Pepper White reflect the light, thereby utilizing the reflect/push technology to assist the internal combustion Pentagon engine.

In other words, even when standing still, the Liquid Yello MINIs are actually moving. Step on the gas and there's no stopping them.

This should end any further discussion on this thread. Bookmark it for future reference.

You mere mortals quake in your boots as I speed past you.

Engulfing you in the vortex of my Electric Blue/White MCS with Bonnet stripes (makes MCS much faster) and Rally Lights (even faster). Damn the crystals Scotty, I want warp drive now!!!

Do have to admit that I surpass the posted speed limit some times, but do not encourage anyone to do so… Have fun on the board, but think about others on the road!!!

Although I would LOVE to be able to agree with the pure silver thing (as that is my combo) everyone knows that yellow is the color of speed.

Everyone here needs to look out for the BRG! It's the sleeper color of the bunch. You'll look at it and saw "Aw, how cute... and classy too!" but then the next you know you'll be screaming, "HOLY S******** BATMAN, WHERE'D IT GO!!!"

And after I add my black stripes, (bonnet and boot), it'll not only sting like a bee, it'll look like one.
