Mini Outdoor Car Cover

I'm going to get a cover for my Mini when it arrives, but I'm trying to determine what cover to get. I will be using it to cover the Mini when it sits at work in the Houston sun. I was looking at the Mini outdoor cover on MiniUSA, but I don't know what kind of fabric it is made of. Does anyone know? The three types I'm looking at our Evolution, Noah, and WeatherShield.
For those of you who have the outdoor cover
1. Is it light weight?
2. Does it resist water well?
3. Does it keep the car cooler?
Thanks for the help in advance. I posted a picture of the cover below, for those who may not be sure what I'm talking about.

I have the Outdoor Mini Cover and it is very light weight and water resistant but I'm not sure if it keeps the heat out. Haven't been able to use it during the summer yet. But I does resist water very well I believe. Covered mine during the snow and the only time some water got on the MINI was when I was folding it up! So I'd go for it!

Check out Griots Garage, I know in their recent magazines they have two tone car covers and in the picture is actually a Mini. I would assume it would be top quality, coming from Griots.

I have a 02 noah to fit my 05 and it is perfect in this Houston weather. you can troll the cooperspeed gallery under my LRC name and see about 5 pics of my car with noah cover in the sunny houston weather.

Check out California Car Cover, they have a high quality cover for every type of weather.

I live in California and have the Superweave, it's very light and machine washable.
If you can afford it, get one for the hot humid Texas summer and another for winter.

Getting a quality cover is well worth it, especially if you don't have a garage like me, and yes, it keeps the car cool.

Good luck

I have this cover and have used over the past 1-1/2 months in Seattle/Portland weather.

1. Is it light weight? Very light and easy to get back into the bag.
2. Does it resist water well? Absolutely!
3. Does it keep the car cooler? No idea. Just not warm enough to tell.

A couple of notes: most users have to take the antenna off to use this cover. I have a stubby (4") antenna and that works fine. I found mine on ebay for a significant discount. I dust the car (mini Cal duster) before putting the cover on because has a snug fit.

Happy Motoring!

I have this cover and it fits very well, but I wouldnt use it for outdoor protection. Here is why, I bought it for outdoor protection while we remodle our kitchen..The problem is that when the wind blows the seams in th ecover can/will chafe the paint in some spots. Those of you with lighter color car might not notice it but since mine is black it was noticable. I had a bunch of littel roundish chfe marks on th ehatch and both quarters. Thet really werent that big a deal to polish out but never the less they were ther. Also if left out in the rain water will penetrate the cover. Definatly go for one of the other covers mentioned if you need outdoor weather protection.

For quick cover up and in the garage to keep the dust off th emini one is great.

I picked up the Mini Convertible

Outdoor cover about 4 weeks ago. I paid 180 for it. Its very nice, light weight and has a very tight fit on the car, especially because it molds around it as well as on the side mirrors. It also comes with a pouch attached to it, but I've yet to figure out how to fold it inside itself correctly. Its also nice you can see the license plate with it on in the rear as it has a plastic window around that.

My only beef is I need to remove the antenna when putting it on. With the Convertible the antenna is in the front and they left a extra pocket area in the front to site over the black section that holds the antenna but not the antenna itself.

Covers from California Car Cover will fit with the antenna, no need to remove it
It actually gives the car an "intersting" look with the cover on
