Dual mass or Single mass clutch setup ?

What’s the general consensus on replacing dual mass clutch with single mass clutch ? Is the dual mass smoother with less vibration or is the single mass more responsive? Thanks…

I have a mix in my cars, and I really can't tell the difference.

Motor On!

^^^Same. I've run the Valeo single-mass for years with no issues.

I have the Valeo single mass in a stock 06 R53 with factory LSD. My answer to both your questions: no difference.

The biggest difference for me is how much lighter the clutch pedal feels, compared to the LUK one. Which is great because I do a lot of rush hour driving.

The nice part of a single mass flywheel is you can have it resurfaced at a machine shop . Thanks

My Valeo set up with new bushings, etc. is light and very smooth. I've been happy so far, except I regret not spending the extra money to add a LSD. Not sure how much I'd notice the difference with basic daily driving, but I still wish I had it.

i installed the valeo kit into my sons r50. it is smooth and light.

i wonder how it will hold up to more hp on the r53 and how it would hold up long term?

ModMini drove on track with 240bhp and he was happy with it. He mentioned it in the video where he installs the kit onto a custom car.

My r53 only has 170bhp so can't really judge but it's great so far (~3 years daily now)

I track my R53 with the Valeo solid flywheel conversion kit (52151203) and I like it a lot. No issues.
