Tacometer Issue

Hi there!

I just bought a 2006 mini cooper….only 84k but there is an issue with the Tacometer. It has power and the rev indicator works, but the cluster lights don’t work (the check engine, abs, temp display, etc). Fuses checked out fine, and ideas what could be wrong? Thanks so much for your advice in advance.

Although I've personally never had an issue with my tach - I have read some discussions here from others having weird or a dead tachometer problem. I think the quickest and easiest resolve for them was to replace their misbehaving tach with a salvage yard find, eBay or trusted Allmag.com. Good used or salvage yard tach are pretty inexpensive and 5 min plug 'n' go.

Sorry I'm unable to provide any technical advice.

Thank you so much for taking the time to respond. I purchased a used tachometer and just switched it out today. Worked perfect!
