Is this a tire issue or suspension issue?

Factory Pirelli run flats, 2017 F54 with 42K miles, normal highway/city driving, always inflated within specs, and car is stock. Good mileage for a set of tires, but the fronts worn pretty bad.

Looks normal to me, for being a front heavy, FWD based vehicle. They looked a little bit chewed up, but the wear patterns look to be about right.

That's awesome for factory RFs. Heck the ones on my 2014 JCW Coupe needed replacing at about 18k miles. They were "summer" tires but still......

Get a good all wheel alignment with your new rubber.

Also you might want to check to see if there are any outstanding Factory Service Bulletins for front suspension -- I seem to recall they did some warranty bushing work on my 2017 Clubman S All4.

That is amazingly good and even wear for fun flats -- for any tires on a MINI, actually.

I too agree with a decent wear pattern...maybe slightly over pressure based on the fact that the center rib is down to the wear bars, while the outers are still a bit off the wear bars. 42K on OEM RF's is certainly a good life from those, IMHO.
