As if I haven't been waiting for my MINI long enough...

I called my dealer to put in my final order (I expected to be receiving my production number the first week of January) as I finally decided on getting the R90's with run-flat performance for the summer and then use the 17" S-lites with traction tires, and I found out that their monthly dealer allotment was cut by almost a third. This means instead of getting my number in a month and my car in 3, I get my number in 3 and my car in 6. Don't get me wrong, the dealer has been great and I'm leaving my deposit here (this is my third deposit and third state) but I really feel like smashing something.

I feel your pain and I am right there with you. I thought I was going to be placing my order at the end of November, but alas, allotment cut :smile:

 

10 months was a looooooong waite for me...
But never the less, the day you go for collection, u'll forgive whoever it was that caused it!!!

YEA, what's with allocation cuts for the MCS. I've lost February and March is starting to fade fast.

 

PDX_MINI just let Kim or I know....we'll gladly take you out in ours.

Seriously though, are you going to come to the rally in January? You could always just ride along with someone.

I can confirm that too. Schomp MINI (Denver) had their allocation cut to 6 Cooper S per month for an undetermined period of time. The Cooper allocation remains the same (~24).

 

Allocatin cuts, boo. Thats no fun! As far as I know my dealer doesn't have them... there's just a waiting list for the S...

 

No kicking anything for me MINIclo - don't worry. I'm recovering from full ACL reconstruction - tore it in half at a soccer match.

The allotment of S's at my dealer was cut from 20 to 7 if you can believe that...a huge percentage. Being #18 on the list means squat now if they only order 7 a month. I think I'll start calling around and see who's got what on the lot, or maybe there's a buyer who backed out and their baby is on the way. Kind of sad to think of a MINI headed here on a boat and no one waiting for him/her.

Davbret - I'll take you and Kimini up on your offer - with my knee as it is my January trip to Whistler is off.

That combo sounds great, can you post a picture of that creation. I'm thinking of painting my flares this spring and I haven't seen a DS MCS done like that yet.
