DSC constantly tuning off on its own,,,,,?

Folks

I have an '05 MCS and when i get on it, the DSC light goes on and i cant get the lite to go out/DSC to come back on. Mini service reset the codes and it still happens w/o any explanation on their computer. Damn, i got an '05 so i would not have these problems.... any ideas? ( i have to leave it for awhile next week and take a loaner; w/o pulley, ss kit, brakes, springs, sway, ES100's, Flik Wasps, etc., etc.

Surely Not Your Problem

Mine goes off and the light comes on. However, in my case it is 'cause I hit the wrong toggle trying to lower the window!

When the light is on, DSC is off.

IF you have a unichip, that could be the culprit. If not, have your alignment checked. This will usually solve your problem.

I have seen this issue posted several times before, both here and on the mini2 forums, and it seems the commonalities involved are High RPM's, along with a reduction pulley. Perhaps too much Boost causing problems with the ECU?

Habberstad Mini in LI, NY fixed my problem today...finally after the great Prestige had 3 cracks at it- who insisted it was my 17% pulley- NOT!. Habb may be my new dealership, now?!

Water in the DSC unit. They cleaned out the DSC unit and put a sealant on the contacts- 30 mins. When i left, I nailed it as hard as i could going back to NYC on the service road along the LIE, in 2nd, 3rd, and 4th --- i was going too fast at this point though --and the DSC lite flickered but never came on and stayed on in any gear --- what a relief.

I'm stoked!!

PS THDUKE thanks for suggestions.
