Temporary Injector Disable After Oil Change

Does anyone know of a simple way to disable the injectors? I would like to be able to crank the engine for 10 seconds to build oil pressure before after an oil change.

The typical hold the pedal to the floor to disable injectors doesn't seem to be an option on my 2002 R50.

I'm curious why you believe you need to build oil pressure after a change? Even after draining the oil you'll still have sufficient lubrication to prevent startup damage.

I had the same thought, but figured maybe there's some other reason that was not mentioned...

Thanks for the comments everyone.

The biggest reason I want to oil prime before is to minimize the timing chain rattle on startup. It doesn't happen for very long and I don't hear it on warm startups. It just that the noise creates the same reaction in me as nails on a chalkboard.(I suspect chalkboards in classrooms are so 30 years ago so I'm showing my age here).

I'm doing an oil change this weekend so I'll give the fuse a try. I have a decent code reader so I can clear stuff if it pops up.

this should not be happening. Does the oil light stay on after starting, even for just a few seconds?

would first try replacing the tensioner, many threads on it plus Mod MINI has an excellent video on it here

The warm start up part has me confused. Is the rattling an issue only on the first startup after an oil change, or does it also happen every time the car has sat overnight or a long period of time?

I don’t remember the exact symptoms it can cause, but have you checked to see if the oil drain back plunger in the oil filter canister is broken?

The car has to be sitting for a period of time for the really bad rattle. Goes away in about 2 seconds and doesn't come back that day or the next day if driven then.

Slight rattle the next day but goes away real quick. Less than a second.

I have a new tensioner on my shelf and am planning on replacing it during the long thanksgiving weekend.

Oh, 110k for the milage. Almost certain the tensioner has never been replaced.

Doing a scheduled oil change and gearbox fluid change then too. I'll grab the borescope the take a look at the oil drain back plunger.
