Anybody notice the Red Bull hacked up Mini Cooper in the movie Cellular? As the guy pulled up in the Geo Metro to the cell phone place, there was one parked outside. The back was chopped out and a huge red bull can was propped there. It only showed it for about 5 seconds...

 

I dread the increase in the spotting of "product placement", it takes away from the "realism" of the movies!

 

Was it the classic or the new MINI?

 

there is atleast one of those chopped new minis here in hawaii as i have seen it in Manoa. Not sure why anyone would want to chop it like that, even if you were going to put a huge redbull can on the back.

 

Damn, that's quite some significant drag goin' on there Wonder what they'll do with it after they don't want it anyone more.
So I guess if you see a bigass can of Red Bull on the hwy somewhere, just look for a pickup style Mini/MINI that's missing one. Wonder what the max speed is with that thing on there?

last November '04. Redbull probably paid big dollars to put the MINI in the movie.

 

Saw a Red Bull MINI last weekend while we were in NYC. It was one of 2 MINIs we saw during the visit. The other was an IB Cooper the was artfully threading its way though a flock of cabs. :smile:

 

There must be quite a few of these Red Bull MINIs cause we've seen them in Amsterdam, London and somewhere in Germany.
