Intermittent power drain but what should PSP draw?
Hey gang,
My car has a slight power drain issue. My car draws 31~35mA but every around 45 seconds the mA goes upto about 130-150mA for about 1-4 secs. I've not been able to stop this happening even with various fuses pulled, mines a 2004 and the 2006 I referenced doesn't have any intermittent spiking just a stable oscillation within a range of let's say 12mA~34mA. Any input for this problem would be appreciated.
One thing I did notice however was when the PSP fuse was pulled, I did manage to lower my normal draw of 31~35ma, down to 15~30mA. I was wondering if anybody has actually drain tested the PSP? What's an acceptable amount for it to draw with the vehicle turned off and in sleep mode? I was presuming less than 1mA but I can't find any reference.
Any input welcomed, wish you all a happy NYE either way and hope you all stay warm.
