What's this and where does it go? Edit-bracket for slave cylinder line

No matter how many pics you take and how many connections you tab, there's always that one thing.

Reconnecting the engine harness after pulling engine and trans. Going good so far but I found a bracket that I don't know what to do with.

What is this? Where does it go?

I found it up under the master cylinder where I am pointing. I had a lot of the harness wrapped up to that corner to get it out of the way, so it may not have originated there. It's really clean, so it wasn't in line of fire, for a lot of dirt or fluids.

EDIT: As stated above, it's a mounting bracket for the slave cylinder line. Bolts onto rear, trans mount bolt. See Pic of it installed.

Updated to hopefully help the next person!

Sorry, I don’t know, but it looks like a bracket that would hold a brake line near the strut or brake caliper. Maybe take a peek there to see if one’s missing?

Found it!

It’s a bracket for the clutch slave cylinder line. Item 7 below.

Wow! Thanks for hunting that down. I'd already installed the slave cylinder so I wouldn't have thought about looking there.

Much appreciated!!!!

Could it be a bracket somehow associated with the starter?
Maybe not - but perhaps...?

It's the power of the internet, plus a lot of experience. Mod Mini videos got me most of the way. I've taken apart and put together my Mustang so much that I'm pretty good at recognizing parts, or at least figuring out what they do and deducing where they fit.

This one just stumped me. I've lost 2 weeks work since I got the motor back in due to COVID. That decays a lot of memory.

And I learned 20 years ago that a good car forum can answer any question!

Nope, I kept track of all of those somehow. That is a confusing mess back there though.
