I recently replaced the master and slave cylinders and after bleeding the peddle has a good firmness right up until the line blows off the slave cylinder...

Anyone else have this problem? I'm about to buy a new hardline to the slave because unless I damaged the cylinder while installing it I have no clue what else it could be.

Chances are that you either didn't remove the little rubber grommet from the end of the line out of the old slave, or the retaining clip isn't locking in properly.

If you don't have the old slave or lost the little grommet the only way to fix it is to buy the section of steel line.
