R50/53 Supercharger pulley upgrade
Best size? I would say it depends on what your end game is.
I have a 2006 r53 & I have the 15% Cravenspeed. The build quality was great. No issues. And I feel like it fits in with my other modifications well.

I don't think you can go wrong with any of those brands.
I'm partial to WMW just because he's taken good care of me when I needed support or direction. But I think my pulley is actually an Alta because I got it used from the marketplace.

We are of course partial to our WMW pulley, but that is because we have installed well over 600 of them ourselves and can't count how many we have actually sold going all the way back to 2004. So we know our pulleys are made correctly and reliable. We use stainless so they won't rust or corrode and expand at the same rate as the steel shaft on the supercharger. We also put a few extra holes in it to reduce weight, and make it easier to install with our center hole to see the shaft bottom out and know it's on all the way.

I don't use or install the M7 pulleys as I have removed too many of them for damaging belts, or not being machined correctly.
The Alta design is a cool idea, but in reality it is never 100% balanced as the two screws on the center part go on one side and they try to balance it by drilling holes in the other side. Granted it is a very small imbalance, but over the long term I don't think it is good for the supercharger and bearings. Their original V1 all stainless was a better pulley.

Can you expand a bit on your different pulley sizes for a street car? You're the first I've noticed with a 19%. Can you give us the rundown?
16% hair more than the 15% created because the other brand of 16% was unreliable and some people just want to say they have more than 15%, very little difference from the 15%
17% will give more low end than a 15%, but not ideal for a track car or running at high rpm all the time as the supercharger will become less efficient at the higher rpm and build heat
19% Most people using this are doing AutoX where they need the low end boost and not running high rpm, or the guy that just wants to say he's got it. Not recommended at all for track or high rpm use. We rarely recommend this as 99% of people are not needing this and will require more belt replacements.
So, a pure street car that wants off the line grunt and lots of supercharger sound would you recommend the 17% or stick with 15%?

15% the one we would recommend to everyone. This is the most efficient and most reliable as belts will last the longest and works for street and track use or any higher RPM use, best bang for the buck

Are these S/C pulleys a two piece design ? Thanks
Yes they are all 2 piece so easy to install.
