Who is OEM for upper engine mount (face lift)?

I am on the market for a new upper engine mount. There are a lot of manufacturers on ECSTuning (https://www.ecstuning.com/Search/Sit...h/22116778610/). The "genuine" part is $142 which is a bit steep, IMO, considering prices on the alternatives, but which one worths the money and which doesn't? Do we know who is the OEM for this part?

Hmm, my local dealerships sells OE mount just for $81: https://parts.seattlemini.com/p/4392...116778610.html However, there could be a catch: this part may be coming from Germany, meaning at least 2 months waiting time....

Prices update first of the month most of the time. Or they might have old prices. Ours just updated. We have the superpro and powerlfex insert bushing also listed. Buy some time on the new bushing.

Corteco and HT are good. Some of the brand are on back order. Corteco is OEM as of now. If its leaking and you need it now i would change it,

This is the real one part. Since liemfirder broke ties with mini they had to scratch off their logo from spare parts so you will see that when you get it. Buts it’s the same part you would pay double for from dealership

tbat being said the vibratech mount is the last one you would ever purchase and is needed if you have or plan to get a quality header like the rmw shorty. Otherwise the flex baskets especially the ones on the cheap headers (everything but rmw and scorpion these are quality parts and use vibrant turbo grade flex baskets) will break in short order.

My Mini R53 is a 2004, so this engine mount is different. Do they have hydraulic fluid inside?

That is the mount for 04 up. and yes black barf fluid inside. Again vibratech is the one you want. I have led the horse to water what the horse does is up to him/her. I Told you who the orginal supplier was. The story of them splitting up. The fact that real part is sold with the name removed for legal reasons. The viable long term life time replacement.

Also when you replace it i used touch up paint to fix the marks the factory mount which leaks on the one side of the engine bay.

https://www.ecstuning.com/Mini/Searc...mini_touch_up/

We have some of that paint that's nla from MINI on here through Bavauto, adding more all the time as MINI has been setting some colors NLA,

Yeah, I have the Beck&Arnley one from RockAuto. Not sure why that exactly, probably, because I had good experience with this brand before. Will see if the Corteco replacement will make any difference.
As to Vibratech - it is way too expensive, imo. I am not going to race the car, tbh (I'd assume, this is where it would shine, right?)

I went through three OEM mounts before I said screw it and put in a Vibra-Technics mount; I'm still kicking myself a bit for not doing it sooner. I believe it was cheapest to buy from the .co.uk site site at the time. Right now it appears to be ~$232 with shipping.

I had replied with the number one place they shine. No matter the bran the stock design will only last few a few years at most maybe 15k inmho. Of coures you will get those that say mine lasted 9 million years before it puked all over. Long story short they are shot long before they spew their guts. But to each their own. If 300 dollars is to expensive then I assume you plan to leave it stock. Same thing happens when owners are willing to spend more money to do it the wrong way multiple time before they finally do it the right way once. Crank pully is the same. ATI or bust.

Going to bow out. Good luck.

Well, if my Corteco fails I promise to get the Vibra Tech one One of the reasons I didn't want any 'performance' parts is potential INCREASE in vibration, while I am trying to get a quite opposite result.

I only noticed an increase in vibration at idle - about the same as the 034 street density mounts I have in my Audi. @The Devil Z is right. The stock mounts are garbage. At least they’re easy to change.

Replaced mine with a Genuine MINI® stocker from MiniMania, 20K+ miles and several years ago, still holding. Didn't list them as a source because their prices then, as now, were high. One point of data. Would have no issue going with the Corteco (from FCPEuro, currently the lowest price, with excellent, responsive, professional customer service, and timely, free shipping) as the current OEM source if/when it eats itself again.
