Well, I've been working at forming a local MINI club over the past couple of months. Organized one small cruise and one cruise-in so far, with plans for a MINI dealer sponsored rally in January. Filed and got an EIN number for the club and drafted a preliminary club constitution and bylaws.

So we had a quick little nomination meeting at the A&W Cooper Cruise-in this evening. Had about 12 MINIs in attendance. Excuse the poor lighting that made for a less than stellar shot to say the least.

Hey, you might want to consider this...

I got appointed president of the local branch of MiniOKI, so the first thing I did was have the main president have his friend make up some flyers advertising the club, then I printed some up and took them to my dealer. I arranged with my saleswoman (with permission from her boss, of course), to pass one out with each car she sells. This will hopefully bring in more members. You should try this, in addition to your dealer-sponsored stuff! Then the only question is time. I've only had one new member in the past few weeks, but that should start picking up. Imagine the possibilities you could have if even 1/5 of the Mini buyers joined your club? You can drool over the very thought. Better go buy a lot of Talkabouts.
