Does anyone else wish that you could press a button on the clock to display the time when you don't have the key in the ignition?

I can't tell you how many times I've wished that I could look at the time when I was sitting in the car without the key in the ignition. Ya know, hit a button, and the display turns on for 30 seconds or something and then goes back off.

Maybe I spend too much time in the car?

Or am I just missing something? Can you do this and I've been to dense to figure it out?

Possibly. Do you have a watch?

.... so how long do you just sit there ...?
... and isn't it a good enough excuse to go for a drive - (hey! I'll be right back - I have to see what time it is ...)

I love my MCS, but I don't sit in it to know what time it is. I motor in it to forget what time it is!

Hit the trip odometer reset button.

At least, I think that was the trick.

With the key out of the ignition, press the trip odometer reset button to see the clock.

No kidding! I just ran down to try it because I really didn't believe that would work - but I secretly wanted it to! IT WORKS!

whodathunkit? I never would have guessed or thought to try that.

Thanks to both velVeT and kensmini!!!

Now I can while away the hours sitting in Molly without the key in the ignition and never lose track of how much time I'm wasting and not MOTORING! heheh.
