Hey what’s up fellas… I’m currently having trouble removing this crank pulley from PRW. It’s a liquid gel filled crank pulley I replaced a while back. Reason for me removing now is doing timing chain kit and installing a upgraded camshaft. Long story short… when I installed this a while back I never took notice of how the puller holes are in completely different spots. I’m other words… I can’t use the mini tool to pull this sucker off because the holes are at a wider radius than stock.
I even called the manufacturer and they themselves are puzzled and have no clue how to remove which pisses me off even more. Anyone here have any ideas or has had this pulley and was able to successfully remove it? Any help is appreciated because I’m out of ideas honestly. I’ve tried other pullers from local parts store with no success on the holes aligning up

What brand fluid dampener do you have , or can you post a picture for a solution? Thanks

The guy said he had never seen a dampener so stuck onto the crank shaft and he has done dozens of Mini Coopers.. Nothing wrong with the crank end and the new dampener went on just fine. Hopefully you don't run into the same issue. You shouldn't if you put it on not that long ago.
I just put a new dampener on my R52 and it came off nice and easy.
I have a 2003 MCS R53 W11 engine. I got a spray of fine clean oil on my back window from one trip to the grocery store and traced it to a glub, glub, glub leak out of the hole the crankshaft is jutting out of.
Dumb me, I did not replace the crank seal a couple of years ago when my stock type pulley fell apart. I looked around for my puller and bolts. Apparently, I have discarded them. New puller and 6x70mm bolts. washers not big enough. I stacked different size washers. I loosened the crank bolt and put it back in 4 or 5 turns with the fingers and aligned my puller trying to keep it on straight. Engine spins so I got the impact wrench. It pulled it out some but it bent up the three 6 mm bolts. With new 6x60mm bolts, I try again and I pulled out the threads of one of the three holes when it ejected one of the 6mm bolts across the garage. No jaw puller can get a bite. So am I going to have to weld something to it and use a slide hammer like below or is there another method? tap out the screw holes to something meatier? Tow it to a shop?
The crank bolt still has 3/8" left before I have to get a longer bolt or put a smaller headless bolt into the crank snout like the video below. This pulley is like the stock pulley.

This is the puller I use to pull my harmonic balancer. It's branded Matco but I'm pretty sure a puller in this style can be found online or maybe Harbor Freight for less than I paid Matco for it. The rod in the top of the picture laying under the pulley is not part of the kit. That rod is one of 4 rods from a Lisle brand pulley that I use with my Matco puller to get the W11 pulley off with.
