I'm usually skeptical of aftermarket parts that are MUCH cheaper than OE, however, I am intrigued by the Bavarian Autosport 380cc injectors due to BavAuto's generally good reputation. Still $146 for a set of 4 seems too good to be true. Does anyone have experience with these? If not, I'll settle for completely unfounded opinions.
BTW, GB REMANUFACTURING is offering injectors reman services for JCW and already reman-ed injectors for non-JCW through rockauto.com. Has anyone used those GB reman-ed ones?
So far, found this negative review:
Thanks. I didn't notice the shipping date at first but did eventually. My R53 is a 2.5 season car so I won't put it on the road until probably early May. (Here in Wisconsin it takes that long to get all of the Winter sand of off some of the roads.)
I'm trying to figure out if I'll need 380cc injectors. My car has the 2003 version of the JCW kit: ported head, 11% SC pulley, exhaust, and valve cover. I'm adding the JCW airbox. Based on what I've read, I'm not sure that adding the box requires bigger injectors. I'll likely add them eventually and then get the 210hp tune but am researching now in case it turns out that they really are necessary to handle the increased airflow from the JCW box.
The JCWs came with 380cc injectors. You'll need those if you go with the 210hp tune. Check with "adriancl" on this forum for advice on using the Audi TT 380cc injectors (plug & play) -- might save you some cash. There's also an equivalent (Bosch 0 280 158 315, ~$65 set for reman on eBay, if you don't mind also adding inexpensive adaptors. I run those remans on my tuned R53 with no issues. Check my threads for that info.
Thanks cooper48. I would only do the tune in conjunction with the injectors. My plan is to install the JCW airbox without the injectors and tune initially and then add the injectors and tune later. First, I want to address address brakes, suspension and other assorted items to get the car looking as close as possible to new. To be honest, my primary reason for adding the airbox is for the sound, not horsepower.

You'll get both - (IMO).
Wow, I had no Idea you could pick up a set of 380cc injectors for such little $$....Although I guess, "re-manufactured" being the operative word. Nothing wrong with that.
I found my Siemens 380s' at a bone yard (4 / $30). Having NAM members confirmed authenticity; I saw they are priced (new) for $700 +. I purchased and preformed the "rebuild" kit and waiting to install them this Spring.
Hope it works out for you.
What do you mean by "preformed the "rebuild" kit"?
""rebuild"" being yet another operative word.
However that is how it was stated for the kit. All that was included in the "kit" were: 8) O-rings and 4) screens.
Yes - Rebuilt is a bit of a stretch. I should have used the term - refreshed. = internally flushed/cleaned and tested.
@Here2Go where did you get the kit from? I can find o-rings, but not the screen micro-filters.
Mr Injector - Thanks to @JOHN21BLACK in this thread: R50/53 Siemens Injector = JCW 380cc ? (post #17).
The site is a bit confusing and not easy to search/find what you need. Like John, I had to email my request for the "kit" (O-rings and filters) and paypal the order.
There are a number of videos on YouTube that explain how to DIY clean your injectors.
For anyone lurking; It was is helpful to point that out.^^^
I'm from the carburetor age. The first thing I would do to my 914 motors would ditch the fuel injection + "brain" and replace w/a set of Weber 44's. So I'm new to fuel injectors.
I watched several informative DIY videos on the mechanics behind injectors and extensive cleaning before even considering dropping them in my Mini.
I used one of the DIY rigs - w/a 9V battery, carb cleaner, removed the filter and also back flushed each injector with brake cleaner before replacing new filters. Re -tested again to insure spray pattern. Perfect!
Can't wait to drop them in.

I'd assume, this kit fits the normal non JCW Cooper S injectors too (also Deka Siemens).
Too good to be true ? Nope I found even cheaper and used them in 3x separate minis now 0 issues.. ebay has exact jcw knockoffs and they work 100% the sane. Even have 4 hole pintile caps instead of stock jcw 2x hole..
