xenon to halogen housing

ok so I've been looking for an answer and I'm probably just dumb but i have been unable to find it. i have the factory hid option on my 2005 mini S. problem is the lenses are a lovely shade of yellow that will not clean and i am trying to make the car look a little more presentable. that being said I don't want to spend the 600$ a side for factory replacements, and instead i would like to use these.

does anyone know how to do a swap and if i need anything specifically.
thanks so much in advance!!!

They will work. Only issue will be you will loose your auto leveling feature of you xenon headlamps.

Yep,
simply plug and play.

I did the conversion on my 2006:

In my case it was for aesthetic reasons with a side benefit of slight weight savings.

Just an FYI, those Helix units you linked to have been on backorder for quite a long time, so may want to contact ECS and ask if they may know an ETA.

Some places list them as No Longer Available.

As an alternative choice for you to consider,
many people have had good results with polishing the lenses:

More threads here on NAM about that topic, just found an example quickly that has a good pic.

I've restored a handful of yellow lights. They may not go back to 100% crystal clear; but they will be more than presentable and I think you'll be pleased with the results.

Potato quality pictures, but you get the idea:

Use chemical guys headlight restore. It's awesome stuff and for best results use a rotary buffer.

Yep we are still waiting for them to come in, they have been on BO for a while. The factories in Taiwan closed/down temporary. So it hurts most all aftermarket lighting unless its like Hella, PIAA, MM, or AL lighting which are OE and most made in Europe.

You can use some headlight restore stuff we sell, works great, just have to do it once a year.
